The other night after my workout, I remembered I had little at home to eat and my dog was out of food so I stopped in at my local Food Lion, got the dog food and as I passed one of the refridegerated displays it had an ad "3 pizza's for $16.99" marked down to 3 for $10.00. It was a brand I had never heard of but the selection of "grilled chicken ceasar" caught my eye so I bought three of them two of the grilled chicken and one of "Margherita"
I am not much into store bought pizza but these are EXCELLENT! They are extra thin crust and the taste is excellent! I would highly recommend that if you are into pizza you try them if you can find them. The brand name is PALERMO'S.

Hey, Virginia -
Thanks for the tip! They converted the Food Lion to Kash 'n Karry down here (same chain), so I'll have to look for that brand of pizza. On second thought.......
You bring the pizza, I'll bring the beer or wine - - your place or mine?

We don't have a food lion in Connecticut. I go to Price Chopper. I love to grocery shop. I grew up in a house with my sister,Mom,and my two aunts who always made pizza at home. It's real easy and fun. You can get the dough in your grocery stores and we have a pizza parlor that sells 2 lbs for 2 bucks. You can make it anyway you like. My Aunt Pearl just used a bit of crushed tomatoes, garlic,Extra virgin olive oil, oregano and and sprinkled a bit of grated parmesian cheese on it. She's a purist. She hates pizza covered in cheese and differant toppings. It is almost like a bread. Like Sicilian pizza. It's very good. My uncle Pipi used to make homemade wine and collect wild mushrooms. Those mushrooms are so good with lots of flavor sauteed in olive oil and garlic. The cultivated ones have no taste at all. It's very exciting eating them because if Uncle Pipi had and off day in the woods it would kill you!

Now I'm hungry! Hugs

Hey Jeannie,
Yes no doubt it is impossible to compete with homemade pizza and when you throw in the mix real Italians making it -well that's as good as it gets!!Maybe they should have opened their own pizza palor _ they have the advantage of being true Italians not like a lot of them now a days that are fronts for Mexicans or Russians or anyone other than true Italians.
It does sound good!
Love ya,
Virginia

My wife is very Irish. Domenica Maria Corbo!

She made great pizza. I made broccoli rabe and sausage last night for my friend Steve. and My friend Thor is coming on thursday and I'm making baked stuffed pork chops, a Ceasar salad and basmatti rice. I love to cook . The best thing I always clean up after dinner. Mini doesn't realize what she lost. I could of been the perfect wife if she would of only let me.

I joke about her ladies but she is a wonderful woman. I can't say anything bad about her. The jokes are just jokes. Thats all. Hugs

There's only one problem with my wife's homemade pizza, she doesn't make it often enough. #1 in my book.
