UNDER 21 AREA
Hi All,
I'd like to take a poll to see how you feel about a forum for the under 21 group. Please feel free to respond with some input. Maybe that way they would post more if they had their own area.
Also all the members that are under 21 could you please respond and let me know who you are or you can just PM me if you'd like.
Thanks,
Sharon(SO)

Good question Hun.
Hi Sharon.I didn't vote because I have to think about this one.Fabrizia is in Jamaica with her beau Steve for the week and I'll ask her when she gets home Saturday. It might be nice for the young members to have their own place to talk without us old gezzers butting in. I didn't mean you Sharon, just us ladies with the AARP membership cards! You are still young, beautiful and hip Hun.Gotta run. I'm late for my Botox injection. I hope I don't end up looking like Joan Rivers! Hugs

PS. I am a bit mad at Fabrizia though. She was leaving for Jamaica last friday night and walked in on me when I was cleaning her room and washing her sheets. I had on my short Kaki cargo skirt and pink cami. She said said I looked like a little tramp!I'm crushed!Don't bite the hand that feeds you. You GG's are tough. Throw me a freaking bone will ya!

Hi, Sharon -
I think that having an Under 21 area is a great idea. We have been getting quite a few younger members lately and that's one of the first things they ask is 'where do the younger CD'ers post?' on the forum.

I'd say yes, and I'd make it a closed system, like the SO section. If those under 21 want input from others, they can post in the general areas.
Another forum I go to suggested setting up a teen section, but one of the moderators brought up the same point that Donna is asking--how do you know they're under 21? Is it important, or do you just let people self-identify?
I think it's worth trying, Sharon.

Good point Donna.
Donna brought up something I didn't think of. How do you know their under 21? It's unfortunate but in todays world undersirable people would be immediately attracted hearing under 21. It's a shame we have to think that way but that's way things are today. It would really have to be policed closely. We all hear too many stories of young kids coming to a tragic end with people they met in chat rooms. You know when you're young you feel invincible. At my age with both parents gone I'm up at bat! Great point Donna. Glad you brought that up. Thanks Hugs

I find this kinda hard right now as I know it's a simple question but my sisters have ask some interesting questions. How do you police it?, now do you keep the feds off our backs, how would we respond to parents if they didn't like the subject. Ya I think young people should have a place to talk to others their own age about growing problems, life in general, and yes if they wish to talk about crossdressing. I know as I was growing up I had no one except my mother and their are few open minded women today who would support or at least let their children try it.

While it sounds like a good idea on paper, I agree that it would be hard to moderate - especially as you wouldn't know if they were under 21 or not. In the spirit of being a welcoming forum to all age groups, we could have 'something' on the forum that younger folks can, or might, gravitate to such as the previously suggested area where they can find people of a similar age group (or those purporting to be so). Should that be restricted though? I don't think so.
At the very least, it might be a way to show there are younger folks here, and if they wanted to, they are certainly free to initiate private email contact with others from that area.

Maybe some of us aren't quite "old geezers" yet but to those of you (like Jeannie) who are - CHEERS!It might be nice for the young members to have their own place to talk without us old gezzers butting in.

One quick note before I change my Depends.
Laugh all you want Stephanie. Do you get a seniors discount at Victoria's Secret? I think not you young whippersnapper! Just to show you I'll diet a bit this week and put on my daughter Katie's size six blue prom gown and post it in my gallery next weekend. Gotta go now. My AARP magazine just came in the mail.

Senior moment? Fashion faux pas?
Ok Stephanie. You threw down the gauntlet Hun. I'll get some totally age inappropriate outfits from back in the day and give it a go. I still have some pretty wild ones from the seventies, eighties and nineties. Forget the sixties. Bell bottoms and peasant blouses are not a good look!My picture gallery will be smokin'. My son and his friend Sarah will be here in a few minutes and she will snap away with the digital camera. Nothing better than a reason for a fashion show. Sweet! Gotta go and get pretty! Hugs

PS. Jeannie can be such a little tramp sometimes Stephanie! I'm lucky I wasn't born a woman. I would of been the biggest wh--- on the block!

Hi Sharon & All,
Yes, I think it's a good idea so the younger people on the form can talk to each other. But I don't think it should be private because I think the older ladies on here can still offer advise to them when they need it and help keep it clean.
That's my 2 cents ;
Hugs,
Danette

I'm 19, and i think its a great idea! But i wonder how long it will actually work you kno? I'm not sure how much % of members are under 21 and if its a big enough number to hold together. And the policing issue will be hard. How r u gonna know how old anyoone REALLY is?
But for the most part i think its great. Most of us youngins only take OUR own generations seriously. Bad i kno, but hey we like to learn the hard way what can i say? So most of us will probly be most comfortable in at least ONE setting thats exclusive.
Hope that helps : )

I think it's a great idea, but I think there would be some practical difficulties in verifying that people are the age they say they are.
Another possibility would be to leave it an open forum but encourage older folks to refrain from posting unless asked to.
