Going to be gone for a short while

Next wednesday (my B-Day) I am flying (for the first time in a long time and since 9/11) to Las Vegas. I am going to meet up with my gal pals there while I am there, but the MAIN reason (other than to have fun) is to celebrate my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary which I believe is milestone in this age. I will be gone for just under a week.

I just have a quick story about an anniversary party. I think Loy B and Silver Lady will like this one.
Three years ago my Uncle Frankie and Aunt Vera came up from Florida for a wedding anniversary party at their sons home in Danbury. Frankie and Vera were 95. It was a 75th anniversary party! No one there was under 85! There is longevity on my Fathers side of the family.Allof them still lived independantly. My uncle Frankies son and his wife are non drinkers and had only sparkling cider. Vera's sister Lucie walks in who is 92 and I said "Where's your husband?" She says"Ahhhh...... He died 50 years ago. Now where's the booze?" What a rowdy bunch of oldsters. They were a trip!
Frankie and Vera died within one week of each other last year at 100. Still living in their home in Florida.Hugs

PS. I know I'll never make it that long. I'll probably run into the back of an 18 wheeler on the highway when trying to put on some makeup and do my nails when driving.............. At least I'll look cute for the EMTs! And I always listened to my Mom and have on clean panties just in case I get into an accident!(Oh Yeah. Of course a matching bra! That goes without saying!)If you gotta go you might as well go out in style!

Well I am half thre w my vacation here In Vedgas and having a really good time. Tonight I will be going with the family to celebrate my grandpparnets 69th anniversity so that is something to celebrate. Last night I joined some of the local gals her ine vegas to have dinner and a show which was really good. Kenney Kerr I belive his name was. Any way got to go heading off to have breakfeast with the family.

Well I am now waiting for my flight home after my vacation here in Las Vegas. I had a good time and it went WAY to quick. But they must eventaly must come to an end. I go back to work tommorow morning and am will be having my normal work week for at least one week. Next week hoever they got me on an 8 day work but then I head on anouther trip to Sandiago for a weeding. I am wondering if I can dress up and go out one night maybe with my brothers. Any way tune to the unoffical Chat for this weekends chat session so I can tell all you galls all about my vacation.
