Hi all,

I guess this is a companion thread to Gavin's 1000th member thread. On August 4th 2003, Shannon and Sharon set up this cool place with dear Danielle as its very first member. But it was on this day three years ago that the site really kicked off; the internet (and the world of crossdressing) would be forever changed.

Thanks, Shannon and Sharon for putting this up and out there. Thanks especially to Sharon for believing enough in the forum to continue maintaining and modding it through hard times and serious illness. Your dedication and perseverance, Sharon, has ensured that this beacon of love and hope that you've created will continue to cast a light in the sometimes dark corners of every CD's and SO's lives.

May the forum live on for years to come!

Thanks also to all those who got involved in moderating the forum over the years: Gracie, Love(SO), LeftyRainbow(SO), Curly(SO), SilverLady(SO), Stephanie W., and Donna T. A special "thank you" to Jadeanne for her tireless work on the forum gallery.

Although all the members of the forum are important and very much valued, I want to single out a few "pillars" who are still with us and without whom this place would not have been quite the place it's been over these last three years: Danielle, Sally, Virginia, Elizabeth, Lorna, Carol Ann, Donna, Jadeanne, Jessie, and Jeannie... thanks for being you and thanks for being here.

A very special "thank you" to all the SO's for, well, for putting up with us, I guess. Your wisdom and openness, especially in difficult times, has changed many lives here for the better, very much including my own.

Finally, a tip of the hat to all those members who, although influential here, have elected to take up residence elsewhere on the net: I wish all of you well wherever it is you've gone.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Forum!!

As Gracie/Beauty always said, "I knew that if I waited long enough someone would have said it better than I." I was not aware of the forum's 3rd birthday being this month, but I am sincerely glad that Shannon and Sharon(SO) have started this forum and have maintained it through the various hills and valleys that occur with 'life.'

If it wasn't for this forum, my CD soul mate and I would never have met, and we can't thank Shannon and Sharon(SO) enough - hopefully we'll be able to 'repay' you by meeting you in person in the near future - phone calls can only do so much!

I have made many, many wonderful friends here, although I won't mention them by name because they know who they are! Most importantly, there are those friends here that are my 'core circle of best friends' - they are the ones that know me by my real name and vice versa. Someday soon I hope to meet all of you in person, too, and cement those bonds of friendship!

Ah, Jeannie, Lorna, Sally, and Carolynn - special tribute must be paid to them, as well, for I look forward to their special brands of humor and dealing with life in general. Whenever I happen to be having a 'bad' day it seems that one or more of them have posted something humorous and I get to laughing so hard that I'm crying. Thank you!!

This forum could not survive without the support, friendship, and love that all its members express, and everyone here deserves a big round of applause.

A special round of applause goes to all the Site Administrators and Moderators this forum has had over the years as well as the current 'staff.' I thoroughly enjoy working with all of you!!

It's been a great site, and was helpful with my getting out in the real world enfemme and meeting several of the gals here.

Three years I can not belive it. I do not know what I have done with out this site. I remember when I first joined I was on anouther site that was not as great as this FANTASTIC sit and since joining have not looked back.

Well, I have been "away" for a bit, but seems I came back at a good time!
Thanks CJ for thanking our "founders." Yes, I can say this that some of us in life are offered the opportunity (sometimes, more than once) to lend a helping hand to our fellow travellers on this "Trip Around the Sun!" Often times we don't recognize the opportunity we have for whatever reason. Some do see it and choose to ignore it but some grab it by the hair and just shake the hell out of it!!!!!!!! That is what my sisters here have done for me. They showed my how to find that "hidden beauty" that Virginia could afford me, they helped me when I stumbled and took me to the wood shed more often that I care to admit - and I needed it I guess!!!
The girls here changed my life - changed it for the better and those of you who have influenced me - many, too many to mention - if you ever, ever doubt that you feel you have fallen short of helping out one of your fellow travellers on this "veil of tears," just remember, VIRGINIA - you set her feet on the path to acceptance and happiness and my sisters, new and old I can assure you that this gal is thoroughly enjoying her "MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR." I would not trade it for the world and CROSSDRESSERS FORUM gave that beautiful experience to me and I LOVE IT!!!!

My, doesn’t time fly. Who would have thought it was 3 years already. Congratulations must go to all those who donate and devote their time to ensuring the success of this forum, it just doesn’t happen by itself that a quality site keeps on keeping on.

Although I rarely drink alcohol I might just partake in a little
celebratory drop tonight. I always know when I’m drunk and that’s when I can’t lay on the floor without holding on. hic.

I have never made a big secret of the fact that I beleive this site saved my life. I owe much to many who have taken the time out of thier busy lives to listen to me and help me come to terms and acceptance of who and what I am. I would like to thank all of you who have helped me on my journey, you know who you are and you know the difference you made in my life.

None of this could have happened, had Shannon and Sharon not started this wonderful place. Shannon, Sharon, thank you from the bottom of my heart, you are good and decent people, you have done well.

Wow!, what can I say. I have had some good times and some bad times in the life of a CD'er. But the truth be know without all the wonderful people here I don't know where my life would have gone. I thank each and everyone of you from the bottem of my heart for your support, love, and careing. I go along with Sally, let's all toast this wonderful forum and wish it a Happy Birthday.

Finding this forum almost two years ago was a turning point in my life. I dearly love everyone here, and I have tried to participate.

Communicating freely on this forum to me is almost as good as coming “out.” I feel as I am among dear friends.

Yeah to 3 years with good moderators. I have been here from the beginning. Where I came from no one needs to visit unless you are troll hunting. You wil get you limit there. It was the cddf.
