On the Menu:
Turkey, stuffing (dressing actually since I don't stuff the bird), mashed potatoes (maybe-for my son), giblet gravy, sweet potatoes (my wife wants to make a casserole with marshmallows, whereas I prefer to make them with brown sugar, butter and cinnamon or allspice), green beans (country style-cooked well with onion and a ham hock), deviled eggs, dinner rolls, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, pistachio salad, and a pasta salad.
Pistachio Salad:
Pistachio Instant Pudding Mix
Crushed Pineapple
Maraschino Cherries and some juice
Shredded Coconut
Cool Whip
(can include other fruits such as maderine oranges, or nuts such as pecans)
Pasta Salad:
Bow Tie pasta
Purple Onion
Red and Green (or yellow) Bell Peppers
Grated Mozzarella cheese
Italian Dressing
(can include sea food such a crab meat if desired)

Donna, if we didn't already have plans for today we'd be on your doorstep in no time!! I like my sweet potatoes the same way as you, and those salad recipes sound great!!!
Have a great Thanksgiving Day, ladies - - and don't eat too much!

Have a good Thanksgiving, if you're one of the USians on the forum. For the rest of you out there--Christmas is coming!
Those deviled eggs sound good, Donna. That's one thing that won't be on our menu today, but I have done them in the past.

Hi Virginia,
Pecan pie is my wife's favorite (and speciality) too. You'll have to try it someday if we ever meet.

What!?! You had another piece of that delicious pie without me???

I hope you brought some home for me!!
::hmph::
Oh, well, you are taking me out to dinner tonight, so I shouldn't complain. But they don't serve the dessert I want, so you'll have to do!!!
Love you!!

One of my wife's specialties as well. Being from Texas, and having pecan trees in their yard, she couldn't help learn what to do with them things
