On the night of December 6th 1989, seventeen years ago today, former student Marc Lépine walked into Montreal's École Polytechnique armed with a semi-automatic rifle and gunned down fourteen women--all engineering students--before turning the weapon on himself and taking his own life. Lépine blamed "feminists" for his troubles.

We remember these women every year with a White Ribbon Campaign. Wear one if you can.

Yes, CJ, a very sad day. We had friends with kids at Columbine school, too. All makes you realize how fragile life is.
