How many of you play sports?

I played sports through high school and into college... And even at a ripe young age of almost 55 I still play ice hockey a couple times a week...

Besides helping keep mt girlish figure (grin) it helps the cardio system!! My heart rate has dropped to 42 at rest..

Well tonight we lost 2-5... Our second game this new season... Now were 1-1-0.. But I played like crap as did the rest of the team.

And tonight I exposed my bare shaven body to the team while getting suited up and again when I changed back into my street clothes.. And usually it draws very little attention except for one team mate closest to me kept staring at my smooth legs.. Lol. He didn't say a thing but I could tell he was thinking..

I've been playing in this league for over 3 years and we redraft teams ever 2.5 months.. And I've played with most of the players and have never had a problem when it comes to being smooth....

Any one else into a sport to help maintain their girlish figure??

Well time to hit the shower....

Walking and... cheering!!

Post by Kendra Lynn »

I was never good at competitive team sports; high school gym classes were often really trying experiences.
Now I walk a lot (I do not drive) and... for those of you who don't know-- I enjoy dressing up as a cheerleader. The serious part of that is I attend peace marches and such events as the "hippie cheerleader." Waving pompons and jumping up up and down is great exercise.
But I have also attended parties as the cheerleader-- DANCING to funk/pop music in a swirling pleated cheerleader skirt is fun!! (and I'm sure it takes at least a few pounds off...)
I also just participated in a skit inspired by the beauty pageant sequence in LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE-- we all had to learn a dance routine to Rick James "Superfreak."! I'm pleased to say that after only three rehearsals, I actually did perform fairly well! (Want to do more!)
Peace- Kendra Lynn ("hippie cheerleader").

Not anymore. My last team sport regularly played was back in the 70's. Played tackle football (6 to a side) football, while at Ft. Monmouth NJ while going to school to learn my MOS.

Nowadays, I go to the gym and ride a stationary bike for a few mile, then swim a mile, sometimes take long walks and climb the stairs to the top floor at work.

However, none of it has helped get back my girly figure.

Well, if Powerlifting is counted as a sport, yes, it has helped me maintain my "girlish figure." Since I hold several world powerlifting records and was the first person in my age and weight class to bench press over 400 pounds I guess I could say it has helped me. Before I took the last three months off I was squatting in the mid - 500's and benching in the low to mid 400's and deadlifting over 500. Yes, sports can keep you young and that ain't bad for an old broad!!!

Hi ladies,
I was once an avid runner, but my knees just can't take it anymore. I do try to stay in shape. A good cardio workout is important, especially as the years continue to tick by. I bicycle to work everyday (weather permitting). Even though I live relatively close, it still good excercise.

Hugs,
Kyra

ok Virginia you got us all beat girlfiend!! =D> =D> Wow...you can lift 4-5 of me...no wonder SL feels so safe.

I was a cheerleader, played basketball, and softball in highschool. College sports :-k does keg lifting count? We did play "touch" football with our boyfriends...Cornhusker players...not a wise choice as it is never "touch" football. One of my friends had to have major knee surgery after one of our harmless games.

Now if you can count getting up to go to the ktchen then I do. The doctor should gve me the go ahead to start again so I need to start thinking what activity I may try next. :-k Getting pregnant again count    .

Virginia has a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and knows other martial arts, and she also trained with the Navy Seals. I doubt that even Heaven would be able to help anyone that tries to do us any harm!! [-o< [-(

Well, it can be quite a workout, but how do you maintain all that physical activity after "the deed" has been done? Personally, I would rather get involved with Powerlifting, and I am!! :P

Virginia... God your arms must look look tree trunks!! The most I could ever bench press was 130. In high school.. Now the heaviest thing I lift above my head is the mascara wand... Lol

Kyra... Running hurts my knees too.. But believe it or not ice hockey and skating is knee friendly... As long as someone doesn't check you wrong..

:D

Tree trunks for arms? Well, Virginia does have 18" biceps, and a 44" chest - which is why she is always wearing long sleeves! Combine that with a 34" waist, and you'll know why it is just sooooo hard to find a dress for her that looks and fits great. We have been lucky in that regard, though! =D>

Yep, my arms are just as big as Virginia's (not nearly as strong however) and combine that with a 53" chest, it's quite hard to find tops to fit especially when sporting breasts as well.

WOW!!! 53". I feel smallish with a 36 inch chest... Lol. Ice hockey requires very little upper body strength and I use my universal gym lightly just for tone...

Well, 3 games into the new season and were 1-2-0.. Dissapointing since we have a pretty good team and we all show up for each game... Scored 2 goals alread which puts me on a record pace... Lol. For me at least. Both were just being in the right place to catch the rebound and stuff it past the goalie.... Next game Monday PM at 11:00...

Karren,
Can we assume that where you play that your "organization" does not subscribe to the definition of hockey, in that, "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out!" I can also assume that that was not you or one of your team mates on television that they keep showing where one guy "high-sticked" the other and almost took his head off for no appearant reason? No offense, just don't wear your forms for protection as that would definitely be embarrasssing to get checked and have one or both of them squirt out on the ice. Yeah, I know, not funny! But that would fit into a thread that we started a while back in "You Might BE A Crossdresser If......." You dress to watch Monday Night Football or you have to use a mirror to put on chapstick.
Ok Ok I'm losing it! Sorry.
Love ya,

Well it's non-checking sort of.... we still get our bells rung quite a bit. And no one has died this year... so far... one did die last year... very sad.... heart problem. Lots of trains and sprains and a few broken bones every season...... A few fights....
