Washing stockings
Ok I took everyones advise and put my stockings in a mesh bag and wash them with my panties and bras. WOW what a mess when the cycle was finished. The hooks on my bras got into the mesh bag and opened it and I had a twisted mess of stocking and bras. Sorry I will go back to hand washing my stockings.

I always hand wash my stockings and pantyhose. It's much safer that way.
Sorry to hear you had such a mess, Carol Ann. Hopefully it didn't ruin anything.
Hugs,
Kyra

Another purist!
Hi ladies
I'm with Kyra. Hand wash and line or rack dry. Washers and driers are the devil to lingerie. Hugs

PS I have to run. The tanker truck is here for my Woolite delivery.

Ladies, I am also a hand washing advocate........... and let them air dry in the bathroom. I kinda leave them there for a few days as a reminder of the past weekend, and a reminder that the next weekend will be here before you know it........... That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!
Enjoy today, cause this ain't a dress rehersal!

laundry?
well-if i'm not out of line....
as to bras and panties...dunno--just throw em in with my jeans and what else...never had an issue.
as to stockings? have not HAD any TO wash.
way back when,..some years ago,...used to have,..some of those wide band stay-ups that came up to my thighs,...and those i put in a small mini bucket and let soak for awhile. woolite or some such? don't remember.
the air dried em out, on a towel.
always wished I was more of a foo foo girl but haven't reached that point. been more of tom-boysih type for SO long,..t shirt and jeans,..mostly...rare occasions I CAN wear a skirt,..but it's been SO cold that it is NOT a good time. I am not going to put a skirt on, just to freeze. this house is not THAT warm in here, and going outside for a smoke is not a good thing in a skirt.
ok. maybe I got crazy here. sorry.
BTW? how DO you clean padded bras with the cardboard stuff in the cups?
thanks
ronnie

Ronnie...OMG...I can't believe you put bras and panties in the wash with your jeans, that is shocking!!!
I haven't seen any bras with cardboard in the cups, that does seems a bit impractical for washing purposes doesn't it?
Have you tried opaque or woolly tights under a skirt? I find that as warm as or warmer sometimes, than wearing trousers.
love,
Curly

Ronnie I'm with you-lingerie goes in with the jeans and teeshirts unless it it's white in which case it goes in it's own load. By time the stockings need washing they usually have runs anyway.
I wear skirts a lot but they need to match my flannel shirts. And I wear leggings under them. Since they're long skirts it doesn't matter but actually I have prettty good legs anyway. The knee doctor says a lot of body builders would be very jealous of them.
