Driving to Tampa this Friday

On the bright side, I'm off work this Friday and next Monday. :mrgreen:
On the other hand, I gotta drive the SO and both dogs down there. :?
On the bright side, it's Florida and sunny and warm and near water. :mrgreen:
On the other hand, we're staying at my mother-in-law's boyfriend's place. (They'll both be there.) :(
On the bright side, it's only Friday night and Saturday night. :)
On the other hand, I gotta drive the whole way back on Sunday. #-o
On the bright side, I get Monday to myself at home. :wink:
On the other hand, I've got a doctor's appointment Monday morning. :?
The good news is, she's TG-friendly and prescribes girl juice. @@9@@


What's everyone else got planned for this coming weekend?

That last time I had weekend off Eisenhower was President. At this point I'd stay at a homeless shelter for the weekend to get away from the Warden, the kids and the tenants! Don't complain! Hugs

Sure, Zippy, *now* you drive down to Tampa - when I no longer live there!! :cry: You couldn't do that last year, could you?!? ::hmph:: :P

On the bright side, that just means you'll have to (a) drive up to Roanoke sometime, (b) fly out to Las Vegas for DLV and our CC, or (c) do both!! :mrgreen:

Have a great time, enjoy your bit of freedom (how long will the SO be in FL?) and enjoy your doctor's visit. Please bring back some warm (okay, *hot*) weather and lots of sunshine for us!! 8) Above all else, I wish you safe travel there and back!!

Ladies: Thanks for taking this post with the pound of salt and sly wink for which it was intended. I think Jeannie seems to understand my situation quite well (even considering the Eisenhower reference :P) And I just knew SilverLady [-( would appreciate my driving down there now that she's living in Virginia (whoops!)

Lori: Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear about your sunburn. (ouch!)
Lisa: I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll try my hardest to send some your way.
Absaroka: If only I had something appropriate for summer travel wear, I'd go for it. As it is, I'll probably be en drab _P the whole way.

Fortunately, I did all the yard maintenance work Wednesday afternoon and took off work 30 minutes early today to get a manicure and pedicure. My toenails are the brightest doggoned shade of red I could get. :P Now, where are my rhinestone flip-flops??

Zippy - While you're in the Tampa area, you *must* go shopping for clothes at Bealls or the Bealls Outlet - they're all over the Tampa area so you won't have far to drive. I truly miss not having a Bealls store in VA!!

In fact, there's a *great* Bealls store on Bruce B Downs at SR 56. From where you're going to be, take SR 54 east to BBD (BTW: there's a Bealls Outlet in the plaza at the SW corner of that intersection) and go south, the store is on the SE corner of the intersection at SR 56. There's a new JC Penney on the NE corner, which has some great clothes, too. If you've never been to a Target SuperCenter, just drive another mile south on BBD to County Line Road. That area is just *booming* with new stores!

I think I know where just about every store is located in the Tampa-Lakeland-Brandon area!! Can you tell I *love* to shop?!? :mrgreen:

Hi girls
This might be a bit off topic but I have to say it. I read your posts and just have to always smile. Zippy just got a manicure and pedicure and is looking for her rhinestone flip flops! Lisa confiscated Elaynes!
My wife Mini will not come on this forum and I've asked her many times. She thinks that we are talking about all kinds of perverted things. It's really funny!
The truth is it's always the person who is an upstanding citizen and the town banker who hacks up his family and puts them in a woodchipper. I'm on My Space and the GGs who are in my friend list are the most intelligent, warm, and sensitive people. They might have tattoos, be biker chicks or even Wiccans but they are great people.You can't judge a book by it's cover. Tink is an absolute gem. She is such a nice GG. If I ever get my wife Mini to come on the forum she'll say" Wow. This a bunch of nice people"
All you girls(Even you GGs!) are just fabulous. You always make my day.

my weekend? same as last. stay here at home, play a few computer games I have, watch my movies on the tube,...run around cleaning house all weekend,..picking things up, cleaning things, put things away,..help make meals,...play with the dogs, take em out potty, pick up doggie doo doo,...
