Ok Moderators, I debated where to put this and it ended here.
How many other people have been bra shopping for someone else. Yes you GG's can post in this also as I would love to hear your views and feelings on this.
On Saturday afternoon I took my Daughter shopping for bras and a few other things. But let me rewind first.
About two plus weeks ago out Daughter who is currently growing like a weed and out growing clothes about every 6 months or faster, announced that she needed some new bras as her current ones were too tight or she had not been wearing them for a while. Thank goodness her few sports bras that had some more stretch to them but not much extra room. Well doing this quickly went from the top of my Wifes list to somewhere lower as she was in the middle of finishing up some work that needed to get done before taking her Mom on vacation for a week. Well as you have already guessed it did not get done before she left and my Daughter reminded me that Mom did not get it done.
Back to Saturday morning. I tell my Daughter we will go shopping later as I had some other things to get also. And I tell her that we will need to measure her first. She said Mom already did that and I think great I do not need to do that.
So Saturday afternoon my Daughter, Son and myself take off for the store with two lists. One list for my things which my Son has and my Daughters list. At the store my Son goes one way and we go another. Interestingly this was a non-issue for my Daughter taking her bra shopping. We have shopped together for other things. So here is my Daughter and Dad looking at the bras and me of course searching the clearance racks. She tries on some and they are the wrong size. And we look some more. My Son joins us to ask a question on something and later joins us again. This seems to be an non-issue for my Daughter, Son, and Dad standing in the bras talking and looking at bras and talking paint and other things. We must be doing something right raising them. Of course it was not an issue for me. We ended up with a couple of clearance bras that she liked better than the others. Good thing I did go as my wife hate to look at the clearance racks and would have spent ten dollars or more each instead of the under five for both on clearance.
One of the other things my Daughter needed was shorts. Interestingly at two different stores the gals shorts were not at all what she wanted and Dad does not believe in wearing the short shorts. So per my Daughter in both stores we headed to the young mens area to look at shorts. At store two we got mens shorts that worked for her.
An additional note, on the last shopping trip a few months ago my Son ended up with a zip up hooded sweat shirt from the gals department, again when we were looking for clothes that fit my Daughter.
That should hold her for a month or so. Hopefully to the end of summer but I am not holding my breath.

Still remember the day our daughter went bra shopping for dad in a Walmart's. Wifey insisted I slip the bra on over my shirt in middle of bra department as she hooked it up. Kid just cringed and tried to hide under the pajama rack. Sixteen year olds are so easy to embarrass.

I occaisionally take my daughters shopping and went to the lingerie store with my wife and eldest daughter once. But I've never needed to be the one who takes them bra shopping.
The fact that both kids felt comfortable in this situation speaks volumes I think. You should be very proud of all concerned.

Karren, you could have said "Well I have heels this high and higher, so I could show you how to walk in them" . Of course at that point even if she was in flats she may have fallen.Karren Hutton wrote:... And the heels I picked out.... "Dad... I'd fall over in those" Love Karren
