As a newly converted fan of female role playing in the Second Life online rpg theme I am disturbed to find this article about another "big" on rpg game.
Run by MMORPG and called King of the World female players may play both sexes, but all males playing female charaters have been forced to switch to male or leave.
Is this another sign of the move by society to outlaw feminine feelings in genetic males?

PS I now have two characters in SL. One is the female original, who now has four attendant male boyfriends who all think she is a genetic girl. and a second who declares she is a post op M-F transexual. She has been chatted to by attractive men but under the rules of the Fem by Choice Group Ricki dutifuly ensures thet are aware of her background. So far faced with this information very suitor has evaporated lol.

That is an interesting blog, and wouldn't surprise me in the least.
I play Guild Wars, as a female, in fact I have 7 characters on there. From what I have seen, there is quite a large number of males playing as females, I only know this because they keep gettin "outed" by their "friends".
I use female characters for two reasons, one, I like the way I can be something I am not in real life, two, I prefer looking at a pretty girl instead of a bulky male.
Banning people because of the choice of sex of their character seems to be making them into some kind of online dating service.

Why can't they just let me be me?

ya i always run female characters on WoW and often on Guildwars! they don't seem to care, bt if you tell someone random your a guy they can be harsh. they heve so many random instances along those and similar lines. on imvu u can have a male avatar and bu CD clothing...or u can just have a female avatar...really can be annoying...
