Gee Ladies
After that glowing article about Waterbury in Forbes, now our neighboring wealthy suburbs are throwing us under the bus. I think they're planning on buildng a fence around our city like the Mexican border.
Here's one message from a Woodbury resident :
"Anywhere but Waterbury. Crime is high, people are suffering and students have no chance. The city is so bad off that when it snows, school is cancelled. They have no funds to plow the roads! Houses are falling apart and 40% are boarded up. I know people who work in the community and have seen the horrible lives of waterbury people. Other towns nearby are OK. The home prices may be higher but the taxes are lower. I am a mortgage broker so I see this all the time. To purchase a home for $200,00 is possibole, your mortgage payment will be around $800 and so will your taxes. Most of the tax money is to pay off debt from the town's mismanagement. If you look on realtor.com the houses and prices look good but there is no resale for profit. I see a lot of short sales, this means cannot sell for what you owe. The best neighborhoods of waterbury are not as good as the worst neighborhoods in surrounding towns. Woodbury, Middlebury, Southbury, Oxford, Wolcott, Watertown, Goshen. Check out mapquest. Ask me more if you want. I am not a Realtor but I have lived here my entire life.Good luck."
Thanks so much for sharing that with me. Hey Carol Ann and Virgina. I think I'll put Marley in the car for a road trip at midnight. We'll cruise around the million dollar homes in Woodbury and toss a few M80s in the mailboxes. I loved his quote"The horrible lives of Waterbury people"
Wait until all the crack dealers read these emails. They'll triple the price when their kids come to Waterbury to buy their drugs. Little do these morons know that all the crooked people and cops who work in Waterbury live in their so called perfect communities. I love it!
We have the only parking lot for the cops private cars that look like Jay Leno's garage. Ferraris,Mercedes 600s,Jaguars and Hummers. You can tell the new recruits. They only have BMWs and Z08 Corvettes. They'll get there.
One note of interest. Our newest Mayor, Michael Jarjura is a lawyer, was a State Representative and owns a family business with his father and 6 brothers. "Seven Js"They are one of the biggest banana distributors on the East Coast. He made $350,000 last year from the business but won't release any other financial information.
Oh. I almost forgot. He and his partner Charlie LaFlamme are big real estate developers. Charlie and his son drive Rolls Royce Corniche convertibles.
I see Charlie who is about 78 in the little cigar shop I go to. He's a hoot. He peels off 100 dollar bills for all kinds of lotto tickets and always wins!
Just last year they spent a million bucks for this wooded property. Two weeks later the Mayor anounces a Massachusettes company is coming to Waterbury to put up a big shopping plaza. It just happened to be right across the street from the property he just bought. Gee whiz. What a coincidence.
The Mayor is the first to know what businesses are thinking of moving to Waterbury. Do I smell conflict of interest? I'll give him three years before the feds move in.
Love
Jeannie
