Oh! How nice. While you are chatting the days away I'm being tortured in the shop. You'll appreciate this Hon.
I just delivered on wednesday 12,000, two PMS color,special order window envelopes that took three weeks to make from my envelope supplier. It was a reorder but I still gave them the last invoice ,the order number and even a sample of the envelope with all the specs.
They came in on wednesday morning and I delivered them on Wednesday afternoon because my customer was all out. I go into work at 6AM this thursday motning and there is a message from Hell Carol Ann from the purchasing agent"The widow in the envelopes is a half inch off to the left! It covers the the state and zip code of the customer on our billing invoices. We have to put labels over every invoice we send out! Call me now!"
Why me Carol Ann? I gave those morons all the specs and reorder numbers,sample and they give me the wrong position of the window! How could that happen? It's a freakin' die they use to make the envelope!
I told those Bozos to get the correct order here pronto! In the mean time I bought a die and I'm kiss diecutting the window bigger for my customer so they won't go crazy. Another job I'm losing my blouse on.
I also had to cook tonight for the monkeys. My daughter Katie and Kevin even showed up. They can smell a free meal from five miles away.
Then Katie says to me" What happened to your hair! It looks like crap!" Carol Ann. It's humid and I have the frizzies. They bite the hand that feeds them!
Then The Warden calls and says"Did you pick up my mail and water my plants?" Mini is at her brothers $2.5 million dollar home on Martha's Vineyard for the week livin' large and I'm the moron who has to take care of her stuff.
I want to know one thing Carol Ann. Is it a felony to put your wife and kids in a woodchipper? I have to call my Doctor tomorrow. I need something a bit stronger like Thorazine and Lithium or better yet,a lobotamy. Paxil and Eflexor are for amatuers.
I have to go die cut some more envelopes for the job from Hell. Big hug.

Its Friday at 9:15 Alabama time and not one person is in chat!

I would expect this time to be a heavy time but I guess I was wrong.

All kinds of strange things have been happening here too. Watch this...a good paying customer orders 40,000 4/4 brochures, 80# coated...I even had to sleep on the floor in the office just to meet the deadline.
I went through 4 gallons of fount. solution! The cust picks up the order then rejects it! All of it, stating that the pictures (all thumbnail pics) don't look as crisp as what had come off on their color copier!!!
The even found a few mis-registered sheets...their cue was to say that all 40k of them were all that way!!
I was livid to say the least and am still in limbo with them. My GF and I set a trap to see if they were going to use them...instead they reordered from the local UPS store. C'mon!
I managed to find what they replaced my product with....it was a color copy. Could you imagine running 40k color copies 2 sides for $3200?? Insane!

Here's another good one....
I contracted a local vendor to produce 1000 color brochures...11x17" 80# text, folded to a 4 page folder.
This is the second month we are doing these. I sent the files to my contact person, who helped me with the similar one last month, he in turn hands it over to the newly hired girl.....I show up to pick up the order and I find 1000 each, one sided, 80# cover, total 4000 individual cards.
What the f*** is wrong with these airheads???

Since you posted this thread I have logged into CHAT regularly and have over three days found nobody visits the chat area.

You can look to see who's online, (down at the bottom of the page), and then PM them to go into the chat room. Jeannie gave me a shout on Saturday night, and we went into the chat room for some back-and-forth. I got bumped off four times, and she got booted once, but we hung in there.

And there's always Saturday night, which I've only been able to visit a few times. Jessie and Celia reign over the court at that time, unless something has changed.

Last Saturday night was a ghost town - our mainstays were not online, away or having visitors

Next Saturday should be livlier.

I am looking at that very line and it say I am not in the chat room and the person it says is in the room is not. Wonder what that line is looking at.

At the very bottom of the main Index Page, where all the Forums are listed, it says:

Who's Chatting?
Chatroom Users: CharLee

((Click here to chat))

Just below that, it also states:

This data is based on users active over the past five minutes

When the list states that "MemberA" is in Chat, but when you enter and find that person not there, you may be seeing that "list" during the 5-minute time delay. Also, if a member does not properly log out of Chat, then their name may still be shown as being there.

As an aside, I do know that almost every work day around noon that KimberlyS and a few others are in Chat. Kimberly chats during her lunch break . . . but she never shares her lunch. ::hmph::

I have moved to opening the chat window and leaving it open as I can hear if someone enters the room wile I am in the forum on another browser tab.
