Post by Gaven McLaren »

Would it be possible to add spell check to the forum? I ask because I sometimes cannot spell well.

You can always add the google toolbar, which will appear at the top of the screen with the menu tool bar. The google toolbar includes a button for spell check (ABCCheck), which will work with any forum, etc. where you are adding text.

See: http://toolbar.google.com/T4/index_xp.h ... ampaign=en

I use it quite often.

I use firefox and it has dictonary.com built in but I would rather not open a new tab to check the spelling of one word. Alright so I am just lazy.

Firefox 2 has built in spell checking that should check your spelling as you type. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/features.html

Gaven,

I hope that Donna helped with finding a spellcheck. I looked into adding one but it would be at a later date if I do. I still have problems with adding things and updating the forum. I'm always afraid that I will somehow permanently mess it up. So before I add something I really need to make sure that I can do it without screwing things up!!!

Yes the recommendation to use Firefox 2.0 was very helpful.

I have pop-up blocker on all the time, and it doesn't bother any smileys I may choose to use.

You don't really need it, if your ISP takes care of them, but I've had web sites just keep popping up new adverts or linked web pages thereby capturing your surfing, and then needing to use ctrl-alt-delete to get free.
