Mobile version of the forum - Answered

Hi, I was wondering if there is a 'mobile view' of the forum? I tend to access the forum mainly on my android phone, but the font size remains tiny even if I choose 'large font' in my browser. I can just about read it, but trying to select links such as 'view your posts' is near impossible even with my dainty fingers.
On some other forums there is an option to select mobile view in the 'user control panel', but I can't seem to find it here.
Many thanks,
Em.

Sorry, Emma, but our forum software does not have a 'mobile view' option; I would suggest using a PC for your forum use.
Before anyone asks: We do not have any plans to change our forum software to one that does have a 'mobile view' option, the vast majority of our members use a PC, whether desktop, laptop, netbook, or notebook.

Thanks for the response. Not a problem, I'm ok with that.
In fact, it is probably a good thing that the forum doesn't encourage mobile usage, because some people are very careless with spelling, punctuation and grammar when using mobile, amongst other problems.
thanks,
Em

Actually, I'm one of the tinieth percentile that does use a mobile phone here. You're right some titles are small but don't worry about it...
It's so addictive it doesn't take long before you just hit areas of the screen such as 'new posts' out of habit, without even reading it.
Heck I've even got a big crack on my screen from when the daughter trod on my phone... I can find new posts even under that;) hahaha

I know what you mean, perhaps I just need more time to get used to it. But a cracked screen?? Not a samsung Galaxy S2/3 by any chance? Everyone I know who owns one of those has cracked the screen at some point!
In the past I've never used mobile phone for web browsing as it was too slow and cumbersome to type. But my old phone recently broke, and I bought a new one. The screen resolution is more than that of my old netbook, and the processor much more powerful. Plus the on-screen keyboard works really well, so now I can't be bothered to get the netbook out, wait for it to boot up, etc, etc!
I'll try some different browsers on my phone. Currently using firefox but there are plenty of others to try out.
Luv,
Em

Another mobile-r here too. It's great to catch up on the move, or for times when I just have a few minutes. I do agree though that the tiddly on-screen keyboards can lead to poor spelling etc, but tbh I think that is as much down to the user being bothered / able to do it correctly (or not).
With the resolution of phone screens increasing almost daily, I don't think the small fonts used here are a particular problem. Pinch-to-zoom rules!
I have one of those infernal Apple things so as far as I am aware I can't use other browsers (anyone?), but happily the stock one is just dandy.
