Can't Print Page? - Resolved

Post by Anita »

Hi Beauty--
This is a related item, so I'll tack it on here. Since I got my 17-inch monitor, I have no problem with reading the forum online. But if I print it, it won't fit. The printer loses about an inch of text off the right side. Is there anything to be done about that on my end?

Thanks, Donna. There's no apparent switch for this that I can see. I will drag out the instruction manuel and see what it has to say.

Hi Anita,

If you're using Windows, just go to the printers folder (Start/Settings/Printers), locate your printer, right-click on it, click "Properties" at the bottom of the popup menu; here, look for a "settings" or "configuration" option where you can switch the paper orientation from "portrait" to "landscape." Remember to switch it back when you need to print a regular page.

I hope this helps a bit. :-k

Love,
CJ

Hi CJ--
Thanks for the info. I went to the designated area. Neither the "landscape" feature nor the "11 X 13" setting gets rid of the problem. I went back and checked to make sure the settings had stayed "applied."

Some things are tough to fix.

ahem, it may also have something to do with the margin settings for pages. if you can somehow narrow them a bit you might rid yourself of the chop off look. now how this is done exactly, I'll yield to someone else. 8)
