I learned quite a lot from reading the SO section. It is what drew me into signing up.I'm quite sure it is also what drew in a few other SO's.
Making it invisable reduces the strength of this Forum, making it more like some of the other CD/TV/TS forums.
And reduces the chance of other SOs joining the forum.

We had lost a lot of SOs before and they'd just come back. Then disagreements broke out from information in their private section to talk (and us to view) was used against them. The majority of the long time SO members decided to leave the forum anyway and haven't been back. Thankfully a few have.
Sharon(SO) believes, and I agree, this is the only way those ladies will come back and get support for each other in a way where the women will not have to be fearful of posting their thoughts to be attacked. Yes, they really did feel attacked for not liking CD'ing, but loving their husbands. Since that's their perception of what happens around here, that was their reality and their actions of leaving left new SOs who came here without support.
At one time I disagreed with this too, but after what happened a few weeks ago I would have been the first in line to leave if I was them and I appreciate the fortitude of those who stayed and will continue to return. Like the kind gals who responded to Darlene's thread.
So, like the My Husband Betty site, the SO area is now going to stay hidden at the request of the ladies. Maybe they'll change their minds. Until then "A Place For Togetherness" can still be used to ask them for questions, but it will no longer be a place where someone can use things posted in there against them.
I'm also going to learn from the My Husband Betty forum and close this thread before it gets ugly, like it did on their site. If you have any more questions or need clarification about it, please PM me or place your thoughts in Mordor.
We know this isn't going to be a popular decision, but supporting SOs who are having trouble coping with their SOs dressing and being angry, disgusted, or put off by it is part of the support they need help with. The gals who don't have a problem at all with this will still be here, just as much as those who don't care anymore about it will.
Donna is right when she says though, for all intents and purposes this will now become just another CD forum. We hope you choose to stay anyway.
