Seems when I do a check (using the provided link) for new posts, it does some trick and won't give me a listing, saying No topics or posts met your search criteria.

I also get

The time now is Wed Jan 02, 2008 3:35 pm
for example, even though I am always logged in (remember me checked) and do not log myself out. This msg appears just below the holiday poinsettia jpg when I click in the index link afterwards.

Hi, Donna -

Well, you are not the only one to have experienced this problem, and it has nothing to do with "auto cookie delete" but, rather, comes directly from your ISP . . . AOL is a big so-and-so and creates a lot of problems for our members, and it's out of our control. However, here's a few links relating to this and similar problems due to AOL:

Anita was the one who told me what the exact problem was, so I would suggest contacting her directly for her 'fix'. In fact, I would love to have Anita post the fix in this thread so it's available for other members.

The suggestions I've made in the "Banned?" thread involve using IE as your browser, or just dumping AOL entirely; please note that Netscape is owned by AOL. AOL really is a pain in the behind and causes a lot of other problems, mostly because AOL likes to "take control" of the PC and not let the user decide when and how things are to be, or should be, done with the computer itself, whether it's internet related or not. !!arg!!

Can you tell that I really despise AOL?!? -,,-

Hope these suggestions work for you, Donna!! [-o<

Thanks SL.

I don't go thru AOL, and this never happened before. I just open IE and go.

:-k Maybe I should reboot the PC and see what happens.

Try it, hon . . . it won't hurt. But AOL is still your ISP, and that problem is a known issue caused by AOL, no matter what browser you're using.

I say dump AOL, but then I've *never* liked AOL, and I make no apologies. [-(

Let me know what happens!

*Hugs*

AOL is my home ISP, but I'm at work.

Anyway, it may have been IE6, so I downloaded IE7 and it works now.
