going to partys as woman

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Post by Pernille D »

Today i am going to a 50th birthday party and all day i have been thinking about all the women dressed in their dresses , it would be so nice if i could go as pernille and join them in a nice party dress .but unfortunatly no thats not the case .

i was just wondering who many of you ladies feel the same way .

Hi Pernille,

Yes a lot of us are jealous of the ability to dress and go out, but some of us are at a point in our lives where we just say "screw it" this is who I am am this how I dress and if you can't deal with -- tough! It is difficult to reach that point and most never do and that is OK as long as you don't let it "get under your skin" so to speak.

Are you a member of a support group that meets and allows you to have a place to dress?

Just go and enjoy yourself and mentally critique "the competition." Like, "Gawd, I would not go to a dog fight in that outfit." "What was she, asleep or drunk when she put that on?" "Oh, that outfit is to die for, she looks so cute."

Challenge yourself to speak to them about what they are wearing and compliment small things you may see, a piece of jewelery, shoes, handbags, ring, whatever. GG's not only appreciate it but when/if they ever meet Pernille they will be a lot more accepting.

Have fun,

Virginia

i need to get the hurdle of telling the the wife and the ones i love first , so coming out to a party is a long long long way away .

i already suround myself with peolpe i like to be with and dont bother so much with people if they cant except me as i am now , as being a brit living in another country does me you different .(its better to have a few good friends than lots of false friends) i know my true friends will stick by me and the others that can not except me ,than thats there problem .

regarding surport groops , this is denmark and very small it is too , so basicaly if you are not in one of the big citys there is not much else .

it also looks like i am the sole person here on the forum from DK but is nie to chat in english

A large majority of us would love to be able to go to a party, a wedding, a holiday celebration or an affair of any sort wearing something beautiful. A dress or a gown that is pretty or sexy or just makes us feel that way to experience the thrill of looking as womanly as possible. Some of us have been able to do so, but most of us just dream of doing it because we cannot do so because the people at these occassions don't know of our dressing or won't accept us dressed that way.

Hopefully someday that will all change and we will be able to dress as the person we feel we should be and attend any and all gatherings of friends and family.
