Somethings I think I think -- volume 1

Post by Bobbie Roberts »

As I am home today and it’s raining and cannot work on any outside projects, so, I decided to dress. I was just sort of wondering what everyone else does on rainy days, and what they may wear, if dressing at all.

Today, I am wearing the following: As I am from the old school (and having a few figure problem areas), where a lady does not dress without the proper foundations, I decided to start with one of my "killer" panty girdles, an old (but brand new) Subtract band top panty girdle that I was able to pick up on eBay. This was the style manufactured by Phantoms, and was billed as a weight losers girdle. or why every weight conscious woman should wear SUBTRACT. And for those not in the know, this is a very, very firm (read tight...but very comfortable) girdle. Previously I have worn this girdle frequently; very hard to put on because of its double and triple panel construction. But, once you finally have it on, I really like the holding power it provides. ( I have a tummy and tush problem which this girdle takes care of rather nicely). I find that after 10 minutes or so, the girdle almost becomes un noticeable, it’s that comfortable. In addition, I almost always wear panties (Bali Skimp Scamp) under the girdle…for obvious reasons. I paired this girdle with an old favorite, a Goddess # 1304 longline bra (I also have a “muffin top” issue that needs help also) The forms I like are the BFS classic II, D cup. The Goddess 1304 supports these forms very well and I like the roundness rather than being too pointy, as some bras have a tendency to do.

Personally, I find this bra and panty girdle combination very shaping and provide a smooth line from bust thru mid thigh. I usually wear the girdle with the 6 garters attached to stockings but today, I decided to go with opaque black tights. I am not particularly fond of panty hose, as for me, they sometimes slide down below the waist and need re-adjusted. But, today I tried again with panty hose.....not really 100 %successful, as they slid down after a few hours but I like the look of the black tights with the dress I am wearing.

The dress is a RED shawl collar sweater dress, knee length, with 3/4 length sleeves. Sometimes, I include a 2” wide belt to define the waist. It is really quite soft and nice and together with the black tights, presents a subdued but classic outfit (at least I think so). . Of course, I also am wearing my black, 4" hi heel pumps, even for just being around the house.

My make up is light, a neutral foundation, very light eye shadow, light lip gloss, light brow detailing and simple double hoop gold earrings. My hair today is the Always style By Raquel Welch, in the RL30/27 color scheme. For me and my face shape and complexion, this presents very well. If one goes to a web site for Raquel Welsh wigs, the Always style, you will see the look I am trying to achieve…BTW…I do not look anything like the picture…unfortunately….

This may seem like a lot of effort for no one but me…but…why not??
Any thoughts / comments??
