I used to wonder

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Unless you're a Protestant, of course.

Historically, the "wearing of the green" meant one was a Catholic, and orange was worn by Protestants.

Wendae I am glad your meeting went well. My exposure to Tri-Ess has been good and they are a good group to be part of. Wish I had one closer to me.

When ever I am going beyond the simple practical work clothes I check myself in the full length mirror, make sure that I am wearing the right, matching shoes and belt. I want to make sure that the costume fits the character. The combination of suit shirt tie and shoes is just as important in male mode as female, I like to ring the changes in colours and styles as much as a man as as a woman. I am currently in "drap" wearing a lilac polo, blue jeans and snug fit denim jacket with silver watch chain across the breast pocket, I considered whether to wear ox blood loafers or suede deck shoes before settling on the deck shoes and finnished with a natural raw cotton shoulder bag - before going to Church to teach a session on Creation.

I now see why my wife always needed 3/4 or more of the closet space. I always thought that 4 or 5 sets of clothes would be enough. That was before I was dressing more frequently and getting out. I never considered the seasonal changes(I was in the house all the time). Also trying to find clothes that can be mixed and matched. Before I wore mostly dark colors, no prints. Closet space is now becoming a problem. An amoire(?) has added room for the guy clothes I still maintain.

My wife needed more space so moved her stuff into a closet in another bedroom. I moved my fem stuff into the vacated closet. Still not enough space for either of us.

OK so as a couple we are going out to a posh do, i wear my dress suit (OK to be honest I have two dress suits, one is comfortable the other smart), white shirt, black shoes back tie. The only choice that may arise is that i might get to wear a waste coat, choice of two.

My wife has to choose which dress out of four or five, red, black, green, gold, or multi. gold or silver jewelry, black, white or red shoes, black or tan hose, choice of five nail polishes etc. etc. etc. that's why it takes time and effort to get ready.

Girls, you recognize that there will never be enough closet space. Even if you clear out space, you will refill it and then still need more space. I need more closet space than Ro and i go out less often than she does. I had one friend tell me awhile back that she had never seen me in the same outfit in a couple of years.

Shop till we drop! Or is it shop until the closet explodes?
