Washington DC trying to make progress...

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Good for the mayor, but it's people who have to respeck us and treat us the same way they do others.

I'm sure that the mayor and his staff are working under the assumption that as the different become familiar, it is viewed as normal. Many who are activist work under that assumption, and it does have it's basis in psychology. What D.C. is doing is little enough, but remember our mantra --- "Baby Steps". It applies to teaching acceptance to the larger population as well as people's gradual coming out in our relationships.

I am amazed that the mayor's staff found so many TG folks willing to be on a billboard and identified including their job. I know I would not want to do it, and I teach classes and share my medical history with students, so far about 2,000 of them, and I encounter some of them on a regular basis in my daily pursuits. I can't imagine being so out there as these people are willing to be. Kinda like being a model that with a known TS medical history. Hmm, I will post a link on that last if I can find it. I found it. This is on Brazilian models who have a TS history, but the interview is just with one.....
