Finding the right terminology

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Finding the right terminology

Post by Dolores(GG) »

So a few of you ladies know me pretty well on here and know that I am a...CD chaser? My husband is NOT a CDer but has occasionally for done so with my request. It is something I love and need in my life. I know some of you ladies have SO's who love your femme sides as well and enjoy participating with them. My question is- is there a term for it? Woman who enjoy having CDers as partners? I would love to talk to other GG's who share my interest because, honestly, I feel a little lonely over here! :)

Why don't you just call yourself a CD lover? Seems pretty fair to me.

I've seen the word 'admirer' used for this too? My wife is supportive of me, although I'm more TG than CD, but she says it's not about what a person does, but who they are? It's not a requisite for her I do this, just an aspect of me that she has no problem with..

Admirers seems to be the most often used term.

Cassandra, thats very cute. Thank you. :D Umm...no, but if I find someone I will send them your way! ;)

Admirer....not a bad term. I do like CD lover. Simple. I guess I asked because I feel as if I never meet other women that share this interest. Where are they hiding? Are there some supportive SO's on here?

Absolutely, hon! We're here, but we pretty much keep a low profile, speaking up/out if and/or when needed.

SilverLady! I have seen you around and it's terribly sweet to not only see a SO that is supportive, but also helps run the forum!

I read this yesterday and giggled to myself, thinking about this thread:

OMG, Savage Love!! Haven't thought about that column in years, some places (Vegas for one) it appears in the paper, and I think I've seen it in Tallahassee in a low-rent ad rag that is distributed at FSU. Yeah, he gets down and dirty but it's reliable as such things go, sort of Ann Landers for the terminally deviant rotf

It's my hypothesis that a good many female paraphilias have passed under the radar because they don't usually attract attention. Most large offices I've been in have had a few "frill queens" who wear a lot more ruffly, lacy, etc. stuff than is usual, make up fans a la Tammy Faye Baker, stiletto heel freaks, and more than a few compulsive lunchtime shoppers who relieve stress that way. The other girls may comment but no pshrinks are busy writing about it like they do about TG, and the possibility of a sexual component in it has been ignored. I figure tranny chasing falls in this area, something that exists but hasn't attracted professional attention yet. I've tripped across it before and personally find it flattering.
I'm a girl with minor additions ^^_||

Hmmm. :-k What shall we call a woman who encourages her man to cross dress? How about " MOST GLORIOUS, KIND and EXALTED GODDESS of the UNIVERSE." ..|/- ..^..

Dolores,
I really wish that I knew where others like you were hiding, I'm trying to find them too

I've met a few ladies who seemed to be more than usually interested in the fact that I like womens clothes, so I do think there are some out there. I'm not sure if it's just that they are not comfortable revealing their interest, or perhaps have no outlet for expressing their interest, and probably some of them feel like they might be considered weird in the same way that CDers feel. I have never been very sure that there are women who really are interested in it, I thought maybe they were just tolerant or patient and understanding about their SO's weakness, until joining here and learning otherwise.

I'm really interested in this subject though and think it deserves serious discussion. So we have a section here for GGs, for ladies who are SO's or admirers or lovers, whatever the term should be.... But I don't know whether there is much activity there. How would we get the word out that we have a clean and respectful place here for women who are interested? I've complained about this before, most web searches for crossdressing return a big pile of porn related, rather disgusting and offensive trash. Sorting though all that junk to find a nice place is a big problem, and I'm guessing that most people quit in frustration before getting here. The conclusion being, the other ladies are not hiding from us, we are hidden from them by the internet screen of trash.
