Being a girl is more than dressing and makeup. Think it's amusing to have auto mechanics lie to you just because you're female? When the car breaks down or gets a flat on a lonely road, it's nice to be the guy then. Depending on the situation both genders have their advantages. At a fancy party, a suit and tie feels horrible, while a dress is very comfortable. But tell an adult type joke, you're judged as a woman with questionable morals.

Ok so I've read the 1st two posts of this thread and the last and may I just say y'all sum smart chicks seriously ... 2nd as far as the of the hard work true gg's endure in my opinion as a m2f cd I can't imagine how much hard work it requires and I'm not just talkin about the physical (shaving , make up, correct outfits, being sexy but classy not to attract whore chasers, etc) actual gg's endure so much more work and effort on a physical, cultural, hormonal , EMOTIONAL , level than we m2f's will genetically comprehend

Re: When G.G.'S Say "Bet Your Glad You Are Not A Girl"
I have never said that to anyone but being a girl has a lot of downsides beyond make-up and such. Both sexes have their up and down sides. I would have to say that the biggest downside I see is that as a girl you have been taught to fear the threat of sexual abuse around every corner. My husband wouldn't ever walk down the street at dusk or ride the train with the fear of being raped, but as a woman it is there all the time. I am not saying in any way it does not happen to men, but most guys would never have it cross their minds when they are out and about.
Also, as for make-up and hair and tights....I hate it. I like my hair short and my only make-up is a nice cat eye. I grew up with ALOT of pressure from my mom to be a very feminine woman. It was pushed on me that you are not worth much unless you look perfect, always. God forbid you weren't wearing makeup, because you know, a stranger on a plane might offer you a job or god knows what. I am always told by my parents that my husband will leave me for another woman if I don't shave my legs and look more femme. That is harsh and hurtful, what, my husband cares more about some hair on my legs than how much I love him? Yes, putting on pretty clothes and make-up is fun. Sometimes I enjoy it. But it is the expectation that is burdensome. You, as a CDer, have not had those expectations put on you from others. Putting on make-up and dressing is a satisfying ritual because YOU have chosen it in some manner. I'm not saying there are no expectations for men, but I feel appearance is judged much stricter for women.
Lastly, there is one thing I see on the forums regularly that as a GG bothers me alot. The assertion that GG women are somehow inferior if they don't want to wear make-up or tights or whatever. Just because you as a CDer do, and you enjoy it, and look good in it....does not mean that you are somehow "better" than the GG women who do not do so. I feel that perpetuates a vicious view of women and what they "should" be. And considering that I view you, as a CD, as a fellow sister, I think that is a great disservice to make to your own kind.
