Interesting read

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Interesting read

Post by Gillian »

I just finished reading an on line chapter of a new book just out It is worth reading.
http://www.sagepub.com/upm-data/47510_ch_7.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I will quote one sentence from the end of the chapter that spoke volumes to me.

Quote; "Happy people who accept their human condition, whatever it looks like in their particular case, are most likely to have the energy, stamina, and positive mental attitude to move forward and accomplish the goals that are reasonable for them to attain."
That is what brought me to this forum and is keeping me here. To accept myself and help others to accept themselves.
So I concluded that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to enjoy themselves as long as they can. People should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of there labor, for these are gifts from God.

How true. If only we read more and internalized the wisdom of the elders. I like your post and your link. It's good to think, reflect and love yourself as you do others.

I would posit that it is not the goals we obtain but the processes we engage that make the difference. Life really has no other goal than death. It is the living, the process by which we obtain that final goal that matters. What matters is our journey and the individuals we meet along the way. Happiness is not a goal, it is a process. So let us celebrate not the goal but the being, the becoming as we wish to be. Thank yiu for your thoughts.
