I really see no problem, it is nearly everybody else!

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

I really see no problem, it is nearly everybody else!

Post by Anne Bonny »

As I sit here this morning in my beautiful new blue version of my Black Alik'i dress, black pumps, Dixie Belle full slip with the lace trim, bra and panties of course, small gold hoops, lady's timex, and gold anchor necklace, with lipstick and readers I am quite comfortable and would have no problem if I were fully accepted with no one making a fuss - wearing this dress all day long. I wonder why men are forbidden, ridiculed, and seen as weirdo's and perverts if they would like to wear a dress. If I am fully comfortable, and If I love what I am wearing why should there be a problem. Neither do I understand why a wife or girl friend would clam up and be so turned off by it sexually. We are not turned off sexually if our wife or girlfriend wears whatever she wants to wear. It happens yes, make up is part of wearing a dress - so?
Fortunately times are changing who knows where we will be in even 5-10 years? Oh well...

Well, at least I know my wife's sitter is not bothered in the least since I was wearing a dress the last time she came in. Gee this dress is so comfortable! *sigh*

You know, wearing a dress is definitely a "softer" look, and it is probably true when I am of a mind to wear one I may be somewhat more passive though my basic personality does not change it is just a mood thing. A further thought on all of this is that wearing a dress I believe narrows the "equality" gap changing the appearance and perhaps even how we are perceived and treated by men and women. Wouldn't women tend to feel more at ease around guys wearing dresses? We would probably be seen as less of a threat sexually if not in reality, and they may feel that the playing field is leveled much more. I also know I feel closer to women when wearing a dress and not in a mood to dominate and perhaps would even be somewhat more receptive to following a woman's lead as an equal or even if they would seek to take more of a dominate role asserting their will. I know that has all kinds of connotations but that is not what I mean here.

I hear you, Anne. You're not bothering me, or anyone else, as far as we can tell. Doesn't prevent others from acting the fool. Have a relaxing day.
I AM my own hot girlfriend.

I always find it amazing to see how so many have such difficulty with the liberality of some individuals. It makes me wonder, what do you have to fear?
So I concluded that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to enjoy themselves as long as they can. People should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of there labor, for these are gifts from God.

Hi,

Heres a ? for you or any one .

Say you went over sea's and the custom was different say the men and women wear skirts, a lose top we wont talk about makeup or needing a wig just the basic you no extras no trying to be like a woman just you know less is best,

how would you go with that, would it change your perception, or out look just grab a dress or skirt top and go join in the fun or outing or sing song .

i mean no makeup none not even lippy, nothing, hmmm ...... oh by the way its only a few 100 miles from us, north by a bit,

As best I can tell, there have been crossdressers in every culture and every era. No matter what is going on "dress code" wise, some one will figure out how to cross dress. If everyone could wear what they wanted and it was all culturally acceptable? People will gravitate to a style and eventually you will see what the genders have settled on. Next thing you know, someone is bending the graviational pull of the earth. :)

I very much agree with that attitude Anne! :)

And I've come to the decision that my clothes are for me, they only need to make me happy and nobody else has input in the matter. Of course there will be plenty of people that have a problem with it, but that is their own problem and they get to own it, not me.

I rather suspect that everyone within 100 miles "knows about me" because while I don't make an issue out of it, neither do I make any effort to hide it. I sense that there are people who don't like it and treat me coldly, but I view that as a personality flaw that they need to work on.
So I have enough things in my life to worry about, some random persons opinion of my wardrobe choices don't make the list.

It is very true in what you say Anne. Women wear male clothing all the time and nothing is said. However put a dress on a man and your weird. People treat it with fear and apprehension.

Whether I am in male clothing or female clothing I am still the same person inside (and out, for that matter). My personality and character traits are still the same, just in female apparel.

In the Elizabethan days females were not permitted to act so males took female roles and dressed appropriately. No problem then.

Men wore stockings and skirts in the 1800's in some European countries and some countries still have them as their national dress. Why do we Western nations have to be different?

Ladies -

It has come to my attention that this subject matter is currently being discussed in Anne Bonny's diary { http://crossdressers-haven.com/forums/v ... 64&t=15147" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; }.

Therefore, this is considered a duplicate subject and it is now locked. [-(
