Dressing Tip: Safety Pins!!!

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Dressing Tip: Safety Pins!!!

Post by Lorna »

Never leave home without them, ladies, trust me on this.

I always carry a few safety pins in my purse when I head out. You never know when you or a friend of yours will need one. Last week at the bridal shower one of my GG friends broke a strap on the front of her shoe & I pulled out a safety pin!! It was a good temporary fix until she got home, as she did not want to walk around barefoot.

Then there was the time my CD friend had a long tear in her skirt as we were going to my friend Alisha's wedding.

Whether it's a tear or a broken strap, safety pins are the ultimate last-minute lifesaver for those inopportune clothing "mishaps".

Lorna,

Good ideas, and I love your avatar!

Another use for a large safety pin is to tie a fairly sturdy ribbon or shoe lace to it and you have a zipper pull for that stubborn back zipper.

Hi Jadeanne,

Thank you sweetie!! Plus, that's a great idea for those stubborn zippers. Zippers hate me, LOL...

I would think that a large paper clip would be better for that, as you can unfasten it more easily when you are finished.
