Suggestions
Hello, Ellie here, I'm not too concerned about my voice or my walk. We are all actors. Given what goddess has given us in physicality. I'm under the impression that beard cover is the 1st visiual to be addressed. I would guess that having tasteful eye make up is a real advantage. Every item beyond that would seem to be one of taste. Danae Doyle (www.FemImage.com) and this is not a plug for her, but she list as the top three most important aspects of presenting - I have added a fourth:
1. the proper foundation - make-up, properly applied
2.a nice wig
3. a nice, sincere smile.
4. A properly fitted bra.
When you get into the details, i.e., the walk, the hand gestures, the tilt of the head, sitting, standing, swinging the arms. All the little things that women do naturally, can be learned with a lot of practice. The voice, either you have it or you have surgery or you buy the tapes and again, practice, practice, practice. Me personally, I plan my outings taking into consideration where I will be going and predict how much interaction I may have with "the great unwashed!" Example, going to a movie, you will be conversing through thick piece of glass. I practice saying, i.e., whispering the name of the movie I want to see and it works like a charm, beyond that a nice warm smile will do wonders!!!!!!!!

I agree with you about the voice I don't know about a good fitting bra although have well porportioned boobs may matter and comfort is important. I would tihnk a voice would be more important. Yet even then most people hear what they see. The deeper masculine voice might register but it will take a second or so and bythen youhave probable gone on your way

Probably by "a good fitting bra" she probably meant sometime more along the lines of what Helen Boyd ("My Husband Betty") said about breasts. They shouldn't be:
- too big
- too high -- the bigger the breast and the older the woman, the lower they're going to sit
- too close together -- breasts are naturally a bit wall-eyed and GGs only wear their Wonderbra (which squishes them together) on select occasions
But to be honest, being presentable and confident count more for than being passable.
I can move through a crowd and generally not be read, but close-up -- especially when I open my mouth -- I've got few illusions that I'm fooling anyone. But I've usuaully been treated like a lady even though clearly the people I was interacting with had read me.

Jessica, are you asking "What is the first thing that will give us away?"
If you are, in my opionon there are many. Assuming everything els is
put togeather as best we can, probably the Eye Brows are a dead give away.
I approach Charlene's "look", as an actor would in portraying a role on the stage. I spent a lot of time in the theatre and preparing my character is really a lot of fun for me. Over the years I've trie on hundereds of pieces of clothing, and finally discovered what works for me and what doesn't. Makeup I learned in the theatre, but anyone can master it with
a good book or two and lot's of practise. The voice? I just try to speak softly and a little higher. The hair? Again after years of practise I finally have that good. I was an apprentice hair dresser for awhile, and learned a
great deal. But anyone can find expert help in this area if they will just
find someone to help them. If passing is the bottom line for someone, I just believe there are certain age groups that I can usually pass with.
I've noticed men are generally very unobservant, and ladies 45 and older
I can usually pass with. I just do the best I can, and if I get stared it, I just stare right back.

I would agree the breasts have to sit right and I have seen CD's with boobs that are huge and are pointing at the sun. Almost comical it probably is to the others that are trying not to look and laugh out loud.
Your right confidence is the bigtgest item in passing, project a good realistic image and generally you'll pass. Of course one on ones and closeups can get iffy. But if you smile and are a friendly person usually all goes well. I don't believe I have ever had a problem and I know I have been read Teanagers are theworst....Just keep smiling
