I don't beleive that I've dressed since two Halloweens ago. I was actually thinking of starting a topic regarding this subject. Do ya'll ever get "Burned out," on dressing and just don't feel like doing it for a long time. I myself feel like I've been an on again off again dresser, just like my golf game. I just havent had the urge to dress in a very very long time. Maybe all this time I only thought I was a CD and really wasn't one at heart. Anyone else know what I mean?

I backed off from crossdressing when I was in the service for the year and a half that I was in Nam. And the six months I was in Panama. Other then those times I have only gone a couple weeks without wearing something feminine or fully dressing.

Every now and then there will be a few days or even a couple weeks when crossdressing just isn't in the cards for me but when the time comes and I can get back to dressing up fully or just wearing a few things under my guy things it's like a major breath of fresh air!

I too found it interesting that so many have gone as long as they have without dressing or wearing something feminine? Then again, I wonder what it would be like if we all HAD to dress full time regardless if we wanted to or not? How long would we last? So, like what is the reverse of this topic? How often do you go wearing or being fully dressed in feminine things before you have to stop and go back to just wearing guys things? Geee, I hope that day never comes! Or even, when fully dressed does anyone wear anything that is meant for guys to wear? Like I wear panties and pantyhose under my guy things but somehow it would not be right if I were to wear guys underwear under any of my girl things. Just a few thoughts.

Hi Nancy,

You bring up a good point. I didn't go that long without wearing femme clothing. I only went that long not getting dressed all the way. :)

Thanks for bringing that up again. I think CJ mentioned it, but now that you also said it I thought I should clear up what I meant. :)

A couple of thoughts.

NANCY: Sometimes in my haste(?) In will throw a skirt or pair of jeans over my guy drawers. Any thoughts on that?

Many Many times purge and quit, purge and quit, now I dress 2-3 times a week and simply enjoy the opportunity. I am trying to develop a way to dress and keep working. Will probably happen if I can Convence them of the need to telecommute!

Aislin, I once heard a sister say that she always wore guys underwear all the time. She said doing so was a reminder to herself that she was just a CD. :-k As for me? If my wife ever sees me in guys underwear she seriously gets worried that there is something wrong with me.

right now, it has been little over 2 months. I was able to sneak in an hours here or there during that time frame, but it was rather rushed and I never really got to relax while being dressed.

Clearly we've all done the guilt and purging bit, on and off for most of our lives. It's what sets TV's apart from the rest of society.

My longest spell followed the death of my father in 1997. I cannot explain why this should happen but the strong urge vanished.

It has never really returned, to be as powerful as it once was. Currently I indulge once or twice per year. But then dressing is only part of the lifestyle.

There are many women who never wear dresses etc yet it cannot be denied that they are feminine or female!

I think of myself as a Transgendered cat, it doesn't matter what my interal self feels, endures or experiences. My external appearance as a TG cat cannot change.

I am not sure how long but probably several years. I didn't do it that much for a long time and then a couple of years ago at age 50 it just took off.

I had an interesting period of time the first time I fell madly in love in my early 20's. It was a wonderful relataionship. I found I lost interest in a lot of sexual things. Didn't even like to look at Playboy too much. All of a sudden the main sexual outlet I wanted was to make love to my girlfriend. THen when that relatioship didn't work out my interests returned. I've been happily married now for a very long time but somehow in subsequent relationships although my other interests lessened they never went away to the extent that they did that first time.

I still really wonder sometimes why CDing grew so much at the age of 50

hmmmm. My first clear recollection was being a girl for Halloween at around nine or ten, but I know I'd discovered my mom's drawer before then. At Halloween, I loved feeling like a girl, but I don't remember dressing much after. I think I probably slipped on something every now and then, though. At 11-12 a friend and I would dress up together in his mom's things when she was out.

All that changed with puberty and middle school, and I don't remember wearing anything until I put on my gf's bikini when I was 17. [Opps, I take it back, I did slip on my friend's sister's bra a couple of years before.]
Oh, it was such a wonderful feeling, wearing her bikini!!!

Since then I don't think I've gone 3 months without wearing SOMEthing. For a long time, it was purely adventitious...when I was alone in a room with some pretty piece of clothing, I wore it.

The next change came when I was first alone in my own apartment, and I began dressing every night. Ahhhhhh

Do others have experiences like this?

Love to you all,

Chrissie

I must admit I didn't count the odd times over the last 40 odd years when I did dress for maybe an hour or so. With kids and marriage and a career the opportunity very seldom arose.
However over the past 3 years I, at the very least, go to our normal club meetings twice a month plus lots of tryons and things like that in-between

When annual leave time comes around and the busy Festive season then it usually reverts back to fortnightly evenings.

Hugs

I'm guessing maybe about 2 years. I am not one who has a lot of chances with kids and all but have dressed at least a few times a year except for the couple of times I tried purging. But those times only lasted for a year or 2 then back at it.

First, I would define dressing as wearing/using any femme item (makeup, wig, jewelry, clothes, etc.) for any length of time. For a long time I only dressed partway, no wig, no makeup, etc.

I believe the maximum time without dressing for me was about two years. This was during some of my earlier years when I was still trying to figure out what was wrong with me and why I had these yearnings to dress as a woman. Several purges took place during this time and I tried to put it all behind me. As always it caught up with me again and I usually went to a higher level after each purge or recess; started using makeup, wearing wigs, increased desire to go out in public, etc.

Have been dressing now for about 45 years and a few years back finally accepted myself for who and what I am. Am trying to enjoy my femme self more now. Kind of wish I had reached this point many years ago. Feel like I'm running out of time to really enjoy this new me.

Anyway, I thank all of you and the forum for helping me to be all that I can be. (Gawd, that sounds like a US Army commercial.) This forum and its members have helped me to realize I'm not alone in this magical mystery tour and that I need to live my life my way.

Love, ya all!

In my younger days I was an Engineering Officer in the UK Merchant Navy. My trips away lasted up to 8 months when it was impossible for me to dress for a number of reasons

Three years ago we sold our business and house. We bought a 5th wheel RV and hit the road. I didn't have much of an opportunity to dress during those years but did manage on to get out twice; RV parks are a bit hard to escape from while dressed. Now we have settled in Florida and have recently made an offer on a house, which looks to come through this week. I am now feeling more of an urge to dress than I have in the past few years. So I guess that I would have to say that it has been 18 months missing going out fully dressed. I even have a beard and mustache now. I am sooo! looking forward to dressing up and getting out again.
