Tall girls shops

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Tall girls shops

Post by Janet Bern »

There used to be a tall girls shop in Hamilton Square NJ that was CD friendly where you could try on dresses. Sad to say they closed. Are there any shops in NJ where us tall girls (over 6') can shop? Janet

Hi Janet, -wel- to the forum.

I can only suggest shopping at any tall girl shop and try not to worry about whether or not they a CD friendly.

Tall Girl Shops

Post by Connie »

Hi Janet,

I don't know of any specifically tall girl shops in NJ but both Lane Bryant and the Avenue [plus] shops carry jeans and pants in talls. I suppose it might depend on how far over 6' you are. I'm about 6' 1" or so and the length is quite good. I've found that generally, "tall" in women's clothes usually tops out at 6' in the size charts.

Long Tall Sally over here in the UK cater for tall girls. They do ship to the USA as I have a GG friend in California who is 6' 2" and she has used them. You can find them on the Web at:

http://www.longtallsally.com/

I have some clothes from there and the quality is great - this is mirrored in the prices.

Happy Christmas all

Hi Janet,
I have to agree with Connie, LB and Avenue both have tall sizes. I usually go up a size or sometimes two sizes in tops to achieve a full long sleeve length. Also noted, I'm mostly in Avenue shops, and have ALWAYS been treated professionaly whether enfemme or homme. Let us know how you make out! Joann
Enjoy today, cause this ain't a dress rehersal!

marshalls

I do know that Marshalls may have a few skirts and dresses for tall women and most Marshalls will let you try on dressses in the changing room if you ask

i've had good luck shopping on line at jessicalondon.com and penny's jcp.com website. they both have a pretty good selection of clothing for tall women.

however, if you're ever in pasadena, ca, the tall, etc. shop is cd friendly. i've shopped there several time. i think their website is weak, though.

There's a tall girl shop near the King of Prussia Mall not far from New Jersey in PA. The selection is limited and pricey, but the owner is TG friendly.
