The whole nine yards for me. Reality doesn't allow me to do it much, but I can't stand being only partially done.

I like the complete package: styled wig, makeup, coordinated skirt suit, jewelry, and heels. Yet I've never bothered to get fake nails. Don't know why, since I'm sure they are easier than painting my own nails (and eventually having to remove any bright color). Makeup in general is fun, but not if I get back home late, and don't have anything special planned. Again, not worth the effort. Sometimes, the heels seem a little formal, and they just don't belong. I'm sure most have seen those pictures of babes on the beach in heels. That's not me! So if I just want to read or listen to the radio, I won't get past wig, bra, panties, half slip and cami.

Oh my gosh, I'm such a slob. Did I just say that out loud? I'm going to have to get some nails.

I answered "the whole nine yards", but I do stop short of makeup and nails. I'm lucky enough to work from home full time, and also have a very supportive wife, so I can really dress pretty often if I feel like it. Though I'm also inherently lazy and most mornings would rather sleep in, than get up and get all dressed up.

However when I do, it just doesn't seem right to only go partway. If I pass by a mirror I don't want to see "a guy in a dress." However, I haven't quite learned how to do my own makeup yet (wife usually helps) so I stop there. Plus if I do makeup, nails, etc. it just takes me that much longer to strip out of the stuff before my son comes home from school. I'd rather be able to just change back into sweats and a T-shirt without having to strip my nails, scrub my face, etc.

I went with tops and skirts as that is what I wear most often. I go full make up only once a year at Halloween.

Though I much prefer to go the whole 9 yards, in reality, I'm as lazy as anyone.

With no job, and no reason to leave the house, I'll go days without shaving the face, and with two troubling cats, wearing hosiery is out. Plantar Facitis and obesity currently preclude wearing my high heels. A bra is now fairly optional. One day I just dispensed with any bottoms at all. It has been months since I got all dolled-up, which is a must if I go out. It's been over a year since I did that.

So, I guess as long as I'm not wearing pants, I'm happy enough, almost.

Hugs,

Bernice

I'm in the same situation. No job, no reason to go out, especially in the snow and cold. but it's been an opportunity to dress for me. I love to dress up in the morning and do housework and fix dinner in a nice outfit with heels and stockings.

I voted for the skirt, blouses, dresses, high heels/flats category.

Funny, I am not so very attracted to the Whole 9 Yards approach. Perhaps I'm a little too impatient with primping to do makeup, hair, nails and so on.

Though I do dabble with one or another of them from time to time, lipstick, eye shadow, I can't make myself fiddle with them very long. Too many other joys calling!

Do like nail polish though, and usually my toenails are polished, often my fingers too.

In a way my slapdashness is too bad. I'd really like to do the Whole 9 Yards sometime or other. But there's always something else wanting doing, so off I sail in my skirt, a blouse, necklace, maybe a bracelet, hair loose, makeupless with hair in a ponytail, to see about it.

Interesting that some of us never actually find the time or patience to do what might be fun to do.

But who knows how I might answer next week?

Tra la la,

Love, Robyn Katie

Panties all the time

Post by MelodyPerkins »

I wear panties under all clothes.

I will wear a skirt, and maybe a top to go with it. Sometimes, I will wear all male clothes,...but apply a little make-up. However, I only do this in certain venues out of respect for my wife.

I always wear panties (with a pad) and a bra except when I go to gym, pantyhose if it is cold, a short or long nightie, use fem de-oderants and a skirt when my wife is out.

What I wear depends on mood and ability. I do the whole 9 yards but mostly so I can get out and about in the world. I would prefer to never wear a wig and little to no makeup and just present my self in a mix of masculine and feminine clothes. But living in a small town and having a family and kids that is not realistic as most people have a tough time dealing with someone that is not fully male or fully female. And that would be hell for my kids to deal with all of the stuff that would come their way. I do not CD in this little town we live in and around this area, I always present a male or female image that they/people of society can deal with. Of course my male image is usually wearing one or more feminine clothing items. It is wild what a person can wear that is feminine and still present a male image to the world. As I told my lawyer today, does it look like I am CDing? I am.

When I have been away from home and those that may know me I have done a variety of middle of the road, mixed male/femme presentations. Yea I get some looks but that is me and just comfortable.

I would prefer to be able to leave my house in a skirt and and other femme attire that I wanted to wear and still be presenting my male self while running around town. Someday that is my goal to be doing that.

Whats not to love?

Oh, to break the stereotypes and live without others telling us what is fashionable and what is not. I like bright colorful nylon panties, and a lacy cami top. There is something about tights, not pantyhose, and a bodyshaper that makes me feel hugged all over. Most of the time it is just underdressing, but a blouse and skirt around the house is an occasional enjoyment. It makes me wonder how many of us would mix and match clothes if society didn't care. Lets face it, social pressure and stigma's do impact people.
So I concluded that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to enjoy themselves as long as they can. People should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of there labor, for these are gifts from God.
