What I like most about crossdressing

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

I knew it's not cheap to be us girls, but I try not to quantify it. BUT, I have been keeping Davita's receipts for years. When I die, some one will get the sticker shock of my femininity and a history of the price of clothes.

to take a vacation from me
yes, it makes perfect sense. Isn't that what we do when we read a novel and imagine ourselves to be the hero/heroine? Isn't that what sports fans do when they don the jersey of some player as they are watching the game? The theater (the British translation for that is "theatre") is an ancient example of taking a vacation from one's self.
But I think inasmuch as you are taking a vacation from yourself, you are catering to a different part of yourself. This aspect doesn't relate only to crossdressing either. I can "live" as it were, in widely disparate worlds quite comfortably. On the one hand, I can milk cows, cut wood, and live a sort of rustic, primitive existence in northern Wisconsin. And I can also move among the refined, sophisticated, high rollers when my job brings me into that society. Neither one really defines who I am.
So you're taking a vacation from yourself, or you're taking a vacation from the world you usually inhabit?
