Bathrooms...

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

I make a very passable and lovely woman when dressed. Even much younger looking.

Also I have developed many feminine mannerisms.

So I have not had any problems using the bathroom.

When I dress as Martha, I am a woman and love being a woman! Thus I should use the appropriate bathroom.

Thank you Eileen ( not goddess)! Excellent comments, and where I live it's a hot bed. We are more liberal in the areas I live than elsewhere, but it has become a debate filled with hate and ignorance! Dress like a girl act like girl and sit down..., it's good manners!

That's the problem, Lexi, assuming everyone uses common sense. I contend that no policy's or laws had to be changed in the first place. Of course there are a few individuals that identify as female and can never pass as such. Are we to change laws and ignore the privacy of the majority to appease this very small minority?

Laws be damned, if you look like a dude in the Woman's room, I'll hurt those dude parts with no regrets. At least trying to look and act female, I'll accept that.

Samantha, enjoy a trip out all dressed up and don't stress too much when nature calls.
If you ask nicely, I'll give you the secret high sign that only women know to identify each other as real women. ..rofl..

OK, Samantha. You started this thread, have you been out in public and have needed to relieve yourself? By your avatar photo, you look very nice. One of the key things in passing well is attitude. You have to look confidant as a woman. Strut right in, do your business, and strut right out.

I'm sworn to secrecy to not divulge the secret sign. But I will tell you that when another woman gives you a smile or nod while you're dressed, you're in the club.

Why thank you very much Eileen! I'd blush but I'd crack my makeup(lol). Know this, I will value this complement, and instruction deeply. I have been out and successfully. I'm working on an overnight outing downtown experiencing a jazz club, eating, and a full blown makeover with all the pampering one could ever want. There's a place that has gardens, tea room, and other things that cater to a CD. Practicing with my voice, and movements..., a dance shop I go to really helps with my expressions, feelings, and flowing movements. In this interpretive dance we have the freedom of femme, and masculine to express ourselves with no judgement. I love to dance! I have ideas to solve the bathroom thing; I don't feel comfortable with the women's but their are enough nongender facilities that I'm ok. I really believe that I'm believable as a woman, but out of respect I just can't quite crossover that barrier right now. I have had positive reaction, and have approached those reactions questioning them if I was believable, and very positive results as yes, but that's another story...love you Eileen and stay true.

Annnd, I will be looking for those smiles! As in in Peter Pan it will be the kiss that shows up on the corner of Wendy's mouth that reveals she's becoming a woman(2003 version of Peter Pan). <>

Samantha, my belief is that recent bathroom policies and laws have brought more scrutiny to the cd/tg community and less acceptance. Too bad well enough was not left alone.

I'll say again, I've probably shared the Ladies washroom with CD/TG sisters and never knew it.

As confidant as you seem to be, break your own barrier and use the Ladies. It's all in your head.

Did you know that the Ladies facilities have a masseuse to rub your back and feet? Tiny elves feed you peeled grapes with Margarita shots. That's why women go together and take so long. LOL!

..rofl.. Eileen, you almost make it tempting. I sure could use some of those peeled grapes and a few of those shots...I think I'd prefer some of those butterfly fairies giving manicuring and painting my toes though<>

The elves have asked that I shush up. Seriously, washroom use can depend on the venue. Shopping at Macy's, you should look very much a lady. An hour before last call at a bar, nobody cares. Hubby has divulged that her first non CD event nature break was at a book store. Very few other customers in the store, in and out without a hitch.

The bathroom issue can get quite acrimonious, I will add my 2 cents.

If a CD'er is going out en femme to look and act like a lady, one who endeavors to be like one in public and is as discreet and polite as any genetic woman is then there is no issue with using a ladies restroom. Notably all ladies restrooms are by design individual stalls for privacy. In reality it would not matter how well a CD'er may or may not pass, just as long as they conduct themselves in a respectful way as any lady should. This also means if you are going to relieve yourself and you are en femme in a ladies restroom YOU SHOULD OUT OF RESPECT TO BEING FEMALE-LIKE SIT DOWN TO PEE! No other ladies want to be in a bathroom and usually see as the stall walls/doors do not go to the floor see what appears to be a lady in stall standing in say a pair of heels facing towards a toilet and peeing. So if you are out as a girl act like a girl.

Now with this issue upfront and at hand, we have heard, seen and read of stories where anti-CD/TG using ladies bathrooms persons have gone out to make it seem as rude, wrong or disgusting, and you may see on Youtube aholes as say some slob, unkempt guy pull on a ill fitting frock and some gruffy guys shoes or boots, thump, thump, thump, as he walks knuckles dragging on floor into a ladies bathroom and when confronted he cries "I'm trans and I have a right to use the ladies room." These jerks do nobody any favours. As I said any decent and respectful crossdresser and transgender person will look and act as any decent lady would when using the ladies restroom. But these jerks make it more difficult for any of us who just want to be seen and treated as any other genetic woman.

This said I would not recommend ANY CD'er or TG'er when presenting themselves as en femme and with acting with decency and respect EVER use the men's room. The risk of some ahole abusing you or more may be rare but why take the chance. Conduct yourself as any decent lady would and discreetly use the ladies bathroom.

I do make an attractive and very passable woman. Also have developed feminine mannerisms as well.

Samantha, hon, if you feel comfortable as a passable woman, use the facilities. Just don't linger.

From your avatars you look like a very attractive woman and quite passable.

Go for it girl

This girl does!
