the collection does keep growing..............A year and a half ago it fit into a shoebox. Now I have two trunks that I built and they are just about full. Since I am fairly frugal I am committing to myself not to buy anything else for awhile, but I do not know how long "awhile" is Already I have so many clothes that today for example I had trouble deciding what to wear!

Hi all,
Since the last time I posted, I have shifted some clothing items around, and this morning I did a spring cleaning of my wardrobe with my wife's knowledge and approval.
She was away at a church ladies group this morning, so on with body briefer, panties, stockings, silicone forms to try out what doesn't fit or I don't like.
So far at least 2 nightgown/slips, 3 dresses that don't fit my 44 C silicone forms, a few tops that were hand me downs from my wife that I never really wore, a white fake wrap skirt that was also a hand me down that I wore twice in almost 3 years, an 18 hour bra that the forms don't work with.
I was trying things on in our bedroom, with the TV on QVC, Style Network, and a TVland special on style in television shows over the years.
I have a few items still to decide on to keep both or not:
the 1 piece long black polka dot dress that I bought online, or the 2 piece thrift store one that has a nice long skirt?
2 long broomstick skirts, one bought online that's reversible, the other a drawstring waist from a thrift store. They both go great with as many petticoats as I want to wear under them.
Decisions, decisions - each one I donate to a thrift store means that much room for a new aquisition.
There are a couple of items I would consider upgrading with a similar style/color if I found the right replacement.
This afternoon we are going to lunch and a thrift store.
I'll probably post any finds on the thrift store expedition.

Hi all,
I'm back from the lunch/thrift store expedition, with 3 new (to me) dresses:
A red lace formal one that doesn't seem to fit (wife is my consultant and thought it would fit - she's only been incorrect 3 times in almost 3 years);
A 2 piece red paisley dress that's quite different from my other red paisley one;
A turquoise 1 piece dress that's a poufbunny delight! I have been looking for a turquoise one, and that's what I'm wearing now - for details, check my post in the "What Are You Wearing" thread.
The total price was $22 - $10 for the turquoise one and $6 each for the others.

Jadeanne,
I see you have my problem as well, I take something to Goodwill and figure "well, while I am here, might as well look?!" An presto I have more stuff than I donated! Amazing how that works!!! I have two drawers for my hose, one each for my half-slips, big drawer for panties one for my bras, I hang my longline bras and full slips. I also hang all my blouses and skirts. I got a closet full of stuff - I love it!!! and I have nothing to wear!! Now where have I heard that before!!??

Hi Virginia,
This time, my wife tossed in a few of her old things and she didn't buy anything for herself, so we left the thrift store (AMVETS) with fewer items than we donated.
I have redone my femme clothing storage, so here we go:
A 5 drawer lingerie chest from top drawer to bottom:
I DO have lots of things to wear (including almost all of my wife's things),
the problem is What do I want to wear now?
End of essay.

I have redone my femme clothing storage, so here we go:
A 5 drawer lingerie chest from top drawer to bottom:
- hosiery;
panties (including panty girdles);
open bottom girdles, waist cinchers, full slips;
white (22 inch) petticoat, pettipants, half slips;
pink child's petticoat (19 inch), black net petticoat (26 inch)
- bras, bustiers, body briefers, padded panties, corset;
shared nightgown drawer;
blouses and tops (including a few of wife's) ;
wife's misc tops, pants, etc. that aren't Jadeanne's style
- skirts, some male clothing, some wifey sweatshirts
- large divided compartment plastic box with beaded necklaces;
2 smaller compartment boxes, one Jadeanne's earrings, the other goldtone/silvertone chains, pendants
- current season male clothing, wife's dresses, Jadeanne's dresses on hangers (we borrow from each other);
Jadeanne's shoes (maxed out at 12 pairs);
Jadeanne's wigs on a shelf
- on top my silicone forms in their separate boxes (with labels AWAY from the front);
most of my cosmetic collection (the plastic trays from a Markwin kit plus nail polish/other cosmetics);
the rest of my cosmetics and my homemade fake boobs, rice and polyfil stuffing
I DO have lots of things to wear (including almost all of my wife's things),
the problem is What do I want to wear now?
End of essay.

Beauty,
We each have the most important starting point - a loving, accepting, supporting wife.
After that, the rest is within the realm of the possible.

Re: The next drawer
When I first started, it was all in a box, which I kept hidden in the attic area where we stored some things. After my wife started to suspect that I had a secret, I eventually had to let her know. (I was afraid she would think I was doing something worse than just wearing a few femme things.) Now I have one drawer in my dresser (we each have our own dressers) that has my femme things in it. Also, I have some things that need to be on hangers that are in one small part of my closet, and I have my wig on a wig stand on the floor of my closet, tucked away where it would not be visible if some visitor opened my closet for some reason. I am lucky to have a wife who accepts me as I am, although we have some rules.Beauty wrote:Sheeesh. I can remember when it was in a box.
So, if anyone is interested... have you had this happen and if you have how many drawers do you have full of your femme things (excluding the closet)

Hmmm... Guess I missed this one before.
I have a large four drawer chest of drawers that is totally full. Even with stuff folded neatly there is no more room. I have expanded into another two drawers of a smaller (narrower) five drawer chest that is in my closet. And, speaking of my closet, it is a fairly large walkin with two bars. And, if I buy one more dress, it will be full too. I think I have five men's shirts in there. The rest is all women's wear.
Love,
Kathy
