So how did you pick your name

As I grew up and realized that all wasn't right with my world, I spent a great deal of time day dreaming and wondering what on earth was wrong with me, I am so sensitive, I cry at movies & TV shows, I enjoy arranging things flower, creating things around our home with a feminine touch.

So when the feelings of femininity & crossdressing come upon me, I feel as though I am so much more than, so to that I just added to my given name Ken an "eta" which suited me just fine, because I am much more than the man you see before you! I am also deep down inside a woman who for whatever reason has become trapped in this ugly old man's body! The "O" was from the first letter of my last name O'Leary!

So I give to you the undefined and normally completely confused "KenetaO"

I could never settle on a name. The ones I came up with were very cute but not me.

It became an issue when I joined this forum. But only an issue with me.

Andrea seemed a natural fit, even though it is a name that is considered to be non gender specific. It, for me, has a resonance of another life or, perhaps, another time.

As for Elise, the same as above. A resonance, or an echo from some distant place that I can't define.

I was going to use my given name since it is usually considered a fem name, but my wife suggested a larger degree of separation. So we used a name I alwaysed loved.

Joan is a play on my welsh name. A woman at work called Joan used to tease me that i had the same name as her.

Just picked a new name, for me it had to be a name not associated with anyone else. Never knew a Gillian, but I like like the way it sounds. It reflects the way that I am feeling. I want a fun sounding name, it sounds like fun to me.

I chose Laccey when I registered at this site. My first fem name was Francine (from Frank) but since it was associated with my first Dom I decided to retire it when she retired. Between the two I have used the "site name" of Lacewetter, but that doesn't fit here, something more feminine was called for, and what is more feminine than lace

I picked Arlene from Arlene Francis a 1950 - 1960s TV personality who thought always egeganyly attired.

I quite fancied something a little bit exotic, I tried out Emerald and few others, all very fine but too rich for everyday wear, so I just added the "a" and use the female version of my male name, after all it's a good name and I am used to it, and any slips in the wrong clothes can be easiely explained.

When I first picked a name, I went with Jennifer. That really never clicked with me so I knew I would change it.

Thought about June, since I loved June Cleaver. Also thought about Grace since Grace Kelly is my girl. But those names are better left with the ladies I admire.

Later I came up with Jessica and thought it was a pretty name. No one specific to associate it with, just liked it. North is my mother's maiden name and it just seemed appropriate.

So Jessica North it is. Now I am thinking about what middle name to take.

Ha, yes I guess Jessica Rabbit could be the first thing many people think of. If I remember correctly Ms. Rabbit was quite the hottie anyway, so it's fine. But you're right, virtually all names can be associated with someone or something.

I agree and it was so good that it took years to make one (Space Jam) like it and that was not a patch on Who Framed Roger Rabbit. So many classic scenes
