Dante, I wear leather coats and boots, shaved head. I dont have to go very far to feel butch, even if from the outside others don't perceive that I am trying to crossdress. I have joked that at times I might have thought about becoming a FTM, if as a man I wouldn't go right back to CDing as a woman! Whenever I get dressed up to go out, I always felt like a boy playing with make-up. I don't feel like a woman, but someone playing the role of a woman. Perhaps thats why I relate to the other ladies on the board, and in some was think they are more ladylike than me. Still, I do enjoy that transformation. That elegance of taking on that role. I put on some David Bowie and sing while eyeshadow flies.

I don't know what dyke chique is...you have to enlighten me. I would love to wear some pinstripe suits. I have fedoras and I have a tie I love. I like mixing...and lately thought of trying binding.

I really like the look of girls with shaved heads as long as they have a nice shaped of course. i only date guys with long hair who aren't too tall cas I'm well probably sexiest LOL I love girls with short or shvaed hair though or mohawks. haha my partner isn't attracted to girls with short hair. nutter I suppose we all ahve our preferences. I have midlength hair at the moment which i am in the process of growing back to its old length but i have it layered and keep the top layer quite short as in the length of my fringe so I can tie my hair back in a pony tail and gell my top layer up vertical i quite like it more masculine yet excentric and something i found find attractive on other men i think.
LOL dyke chique probably would include shaved head it can be a huge variety of things its just a look a style that can differ wildly but you just sort of know it when you see it or maybe thats just my gay dar thats been slowly getting getter who knows. I normally take it as girls who have short or at least interesting or outlandish hair and are usually dressed androgynously maybe wear men's underwear or shirts. just generally a bit butch. I've been told my suspenders are dykish no idea why i guess I'm being educated by my gay friends who think they know so much more about the lifestyle despite the fact i started rather young with women as in 13 and they probably only figured out they were gay last year XD but everyone likes to create their own community and feel like an expert on it i spose.

I don't know if I'd actually crossdress as a man i lean towards a preference of looking masculine i doubt I'd wear a dress except for a laugh not a regular thing like my crossdressing as a woman *shrugs*
yeah when I'm dressing 'girly' for my partner. i gotta say i hate putting on makeup i find it dull but i do like the finished result i wonder if thats just vanity but i sure do like looking like a gothic prostitute for him as long as my friends don't see. the way you dress kinda controls how you sit and walk and your mannerisms maybe thats why we get treated differently when we crossdress *shrugs*
ah yeah i tried binding once kinda pinches and my boobs aren't that big so didn't seem worth it though they have suddenly started growing again after years of nothing...weird though admitedly i think it looks hot so maybe i should think about binding.

I decided to go to work yesterday in my closest attempt to true CD, which I have rarely done. I found a very tight sports bra and smooshed these babies down. Had a black collared shirt, black pants, (my only belt had cute chains on it...not too boyish), and suspenders with boots. No makeup and slicked back hair. Without my glasses, I looked a bit more androgynous. At work they thought I looked like a skinhead more than a boy "No no, industrial goth boy is fine, why skinhead?" It never dawned on them I might want to dress like a boy ( I came in like that before but with some make-up and unbound). Ok, but don't go there...

Also, I'm not quite straight, I am pansexual, but it just means were in this spaceship together.

I say pansexual because I like FTM and MTF individuals, which don't fit into the gender binary, or anyone that doesn't fit into the gender binary for that matter. Bisexual doesn't allow for that fluidity.

Oh i see. I kind of think it does as the word or concept has been around since before transition was possible and it refers to sexes rather than genders hence the construction of the word. Also i like it because i think it refers to a person who has sexual for desires for the qualities of both female and male and each person contains qualities of male or female or both. I consider MTFs and FTMs to be the gender they wish to be male or female and my desire would percieve them to be whatever gender they appear to be or both i would consider intersexed people to be both and as someones who likes both I like what appears as either or both (not that i fancy everybody god no lol) i prefer MTF because FTM tend to cut their hair short and i don't fancy men with short hair.
i guess if someone was so totally neutral no breasts or vagina or penis or anything then I wouldn't fancy them so bi works really well. I not very fluid really i like boobs and cock and thats pretty much the end of it so maybe the staticness works for me I've always liked those things since i was a kid.

Like most others, housework, hanging on the computer visiting sites like this one, mostly confined inside. But it is the difference in how I feel while dressed that actually makes housework, etc., (dare I say it?) enjoyable. Sometimes my wife will leave for work in the morning and will say to me, "Be a good little housewife and get the laundry started," or some such chore. To me, that little light goes off, and I am happy to do so- encouragement to dress, if you will. Personally, I like being the "little housewife" and neither my wife nor I mean it in a demeaning way- it is more of a pet name.

What an enlightening thread, there's quite a lot of things said here that I can definitely relate to. For me it started off out of curiosity and quickly went on to being a sexual outlet. It's been like that for years, until recently, as I never dressed up "fully" before. I changed my mind when I was wearing my high heel boots behind my house when the postman appeared and caught me by surprise (never heard him coming!). I was just wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and the first thing the postman said was "all right darling?". It felt pretty good to pass without making any effort, save my boots. I'm quite androgynous anyway (thin waist, dark long eyelashes, plump lips, an embarrassingly high pitched voice), so if I make an effort then I can be pretty convincing I think. Haha that reminds me - about 2 years ago at work, one of my supervisors mistook me for her daughter! I had my back to her, and she kept shouting "Rachel!" from the other end of the aisle, thinking I was her and hadn't heard her yelling. We had both very similar hair though, it's shoulder length, jet black and naturally forms in little ringlets.
So now I dress for other reasons from when I first started. It's not just the sexual aspect of wearing lingerie, I enjoy wearing the clothes to feel comfortable and relax in. My masculinity/femininity (there must be a word for what I mean? Not gender, that always stays the same. Any wordsmiths have a suggestion? ) can be quite lucid. So just as it's socially accepted that women don't have to just wear dresses, I'd also like to wear whatever I want to feel more comfortable in. I suppose what I wear shows how I'm feeling. I have a very pretty dress for when I'm feeling that way - and a tomboy flannel shirt dress which I can feel happy in when I'm feeling my "normal" self.

As for what I get up to, I just browse the internet, have a look on shopping sites for any pretty clothes I like the look of, and bookmark the site for later. I'm a fairly avid PC gamer too, so I like playing games (hey, there's nothing like saving a virtual fantasy world while wearing heels and a dress :p).
I usually practise walking in high heels too (that's why I was doing as the postman came by), or practise and explore applying make up. I still have some way to go before I learn what subtlety is :p

What do I do when dressed? Everything inside of the house that never gets done by my male personna.

I don't go out of the house as female. It's odd that I seem to naturally maintain a seperation of my two "sides". Then, it is a survival mechanism. If I drop my guard as male, I am sure I would be percieved as "odd". Now days I wonder if I care so much about that, other than for my SO's sake.

As to the sexual side of my CD... Absolutely a strong feeling of sexual well being and excitement that is an ever present undercurrent while I am dressed. Yes, at puberty, I discovered masturbation and did that as much as possible. Now my libido seems at an all time low, the sexual under current is still there but always in the back ground, unless I so chose otherwise.

As I have said before, I am a mix of male and female. I don't care if I am dressed "all the way" one or the other. There are times when it is bra, panties, jeans, high heeled boots and a work shirt. If I am going to sit and relax then a dress, heels and makeup. If I am going to work, then it is the hard backside macho.

Why haven't I addressed the sexual aspect of dressing in this forum? Simply because it seemed that no one else was. When in Rome.... Not wanting to offend, or alienate, any.

Sex is really, really good stuff. It has been an interesting thought experiment to try to imagine life with out it, life with out it and any desire to dress as ????? Society without sex. And any variation there of. BORING!

For me there is always sexual excitement in my boundry smashing life experiences. The depression, guilt, anxiety and suicidal crap, in my case, all induced by society's relentless moral pidgeon holeing of right versus wrong. And the fact that I have spent the bulk of my life believing I was a sick wierdo really makes me angry. Angrier that I allowed it to demean my soul and cheapen my self image.

The only time I dress and stay at home is if there is not time or opertunity to go out. I like to dress and go someplace where there a lot of people. Yesterday, Sunday on this Labour Day weekend I get up get dressed, wake my granddaughter and ask if she would like to go to breakfast with aunty Debbie? he** yes, and she helped me with my eye liner! We drove to the buffett, ate breakfast and had a waitress take our picture then we went to the mall to get in on the holiday sale shopping, at Penny's I tried on a pair of shoes my wife and I saw earlier in the week. I wanted the candy red pair but all they had left were a bronze color and it matched my outfit perfectly so I got them, my gd got a pair of sandals w/4" cork heels We strolled the mall - hit Macy's where I bought her a blouse to go with the shoes, we had a frapicpino at Starbucks. Went to Victoria Secret looked around and had a Pic taken by a mall vender .

Well we both had fun and gd had things planned so I dropped her off at home and went to our local Fred Meyer and tried on sale clothes for the first time ever dressed - no problem, it was fun and I took pics of the things I tried on in the dressing room.

When I got home my wife was home and we had to have a talk as she wasen't happy about involving gd in my crossdressing activities. Wife knowes about all, buy's me clothes, we shopp together and gd is 20yr old and knows all so I figured maybe we could have fun - and we did!

After the "talk" and initally saying she woulden"t be around for the transition and I assured her that I was a man and had no desire to do that,(for the 10th time) she said it's all right she loved me and and would see me through whatever.... and talked more ..... it all ended fine !
