When i go out shopping i smile alot & am so confident now in my fem side even though i don't pass well that i've come to know many Sa by name & when i go to a new store if its freindly it usually doesn't take me long to find out their names but the other day one girl asked me what my name was , i didn't know what name to give for a second my male name or fem name. I decided to tell her my fem name is Stephenie & ever since when i go to that store they call me Stephenie , so i was wondering what name you girls give when asked. On a sad shopping note one of my favourite stores is closing, the manager was so happy she got to see me before it closed , told me some of her future dreams , which made me feel kinda special that she would be so open in such a short time of knowing each other & to a crossdresser no less , not only do i dress fem but i've notice i'm much more in tune with my emotions , in fact i seem to have more of them now . I'll miss her & our little fem chats. Do you other girls find your more emotional now too ? Stephenie g

I don't frequent any stores enough to be on a first name basis. My closets just aren't that big. Plus no one has ever asked me my name.

When Virginia is out she is Virginia, even to the cute policeman who stopped her a couple of years ago for going 32 in a 25 zone! Well I think he just wanted to meet the blond in the Jag. Anyway, if you present as female and believe yourself to be who you are there should not be any doubt.
And yes, for a lot of us the "gift' does bring out our feminine characteristics, gentleness, caring, sharing, touching, listening. As I have said, just nodding and sincerely listening to what others have to say and what use to amaze me and still does to some extent is just reaching out and gently touching some one's arm as they talk and to watch their expression is almost priceless, BUT only if it is sincere!
Share the "gift" ladies it will return itself to us ten fold!
Love,
Virginia

Now that I have been out shopping with my wife, she has confirmed what my Tri-Ess sisters have told me. That is I pass very well as a older mature woman. I was dressed all day Saturday and wife and I went did our weekly grocery shopping and such and got multi-"Mams" and "Ladies" all day. Each time my confidence increases and my wife's fear decreases. She was so much more relaxed Saturday conpared to when we went out on the 4th. I am taking some vacation time in August, so setup three Fridays which gives me three three day weekends. Wife said I could pick a weekend and dress all three days as long as I take her to SeaWorld on one of the other three day weekends. Not a bad trade off. LOL

When I am out en-femme I always use Denise as well.
I find that it fits in much better, and I also find that it is much more acceptable.
I have been told by more than one GG, that I pass very well, and that if I had not told them myself, that I was TS, they would not have believed any one else that I was not a GG

Most everywhere I go these days, I introduce myself as Jaye, even in drab, so most everyone addresses me by the right name.

I don't get personal with people that work in stores. If I get too friendly with the guys, then they'll think I want to go out with them.
Anyway, quite a few stores that I shop at, the owners hardly speak English, they don't talk to me that much.

Under a casual public setting, I just une ''Anne'', but for fantasy purposes/conventions I usually use Azurielle in my fem mode.
(My nickname IRL is Zuriel)

When at work I go by my given name. However anywhere else I go by Gaven. However if I went by a fem name it would have to be the one that my mother would have given me if I was a girl. Which is Septima.

I haven't been out enough enfemme to be asked my name. If I was out enfemme and was asked, I would tell them, Alana. Alana is just a variation of my real name, so its easy to use.
After I dressed for Halloween at work a couple of years ago, one of the supervisors started calling me Alana just about all the time. I liked her doing that, though she doesn't know that I'm cd.
Love,
Alana

by Deidre Taylor
Being FT the name on my drivers license and credit cards is Deidre Joanne, so obviously I go by Deidre. Yes there a few shops where they know me by name, OK so I am a shopaholic, but I like the personalized touch.
BTW it was not always Deidre, any of you girls go through a few names before you settled on the one you use now? I went through several.

Hi, I have a simple solution, I just use my really name abbriviated "PAT"
which is very handy, because it is used for both genders.

I have been thinking of getting my bank to issue a credit card in the name of JoAnn. Then send in a head shot and have them add that to the credit card. That way when out dressed and I buy anything, I can present that card and with my picture on it is all that is required for ID.
Here in Texas you can have both a DL and ID card. I can get the ID card with my fem picture on it. Which is usable for Travel and official ID purposes.
