Oprah is slated to feature families who have one or more parents who have transitioned, and the familes included children, some from before, some after. Could be worth seeing for anyone who is transgendered and has a family. Check your local listings.

Thanks Carolynn.

I'll have to catch the show when it's posted on youtube, I reckon. :)

While the show may be a re-run, this is the first time that I saw it,

I felt the producers did a very good job, putting the show to-gether and Oprah, was very good in the way she handled it, although she did admit that she did not really understand.

The show to me, had a very positive impact on the people and the neighbours.

Any positive feed that we can get such as this, is a very big step forward for the Trans Community

I enjoyed the Oprah show. Oprah was respectful to all of the guests on the show and was open-minded about this sensitive topic. Shows such as Jerry Springer only show the negative stereotypes about the transgendered.

One of the transgendered guests said to Oprah, "Sex is between the legs, gender is between the ears."

It was wonderful to see so many negative misunderstandings about the transgendered being replaced by positive messages on the show.

I agree with you Maria, and i am in full agreement with the statement

" Sex is between the legs, and Gender is between the ears.

Just too bad that more people would not have that understanding
