Wife and I record the TV Show "Bones". This weeks episode was finding the upper half of a body that was IDed as Female, but when the lower half was found they changed the ID to "Transsexual Female". My first thoughts was, how did the writers handle this subject. As the story concluded, I notice it was handled very well. The male FBI agent who is known to be religous did have some problem but in the end it worked out in a favorable light. None of the scientest seem to have any problem. There was a strong religous theam too and the writers did a very good job blending the two subjects together.

I have notice more and more shows where Trans people were the main topic. They have almost always been shown in a positive light. I think shows like this are showing the general public that we are people too and there is nothing wrong with us.

Yea, I only caught the last half of the show, but the subject appeared to be handled better than most other shows. There was the normal confusing terminology but there was no ridicule nor derogatory references toward the dead woman.

One part tickle me. The Grad Student was pointing out to the director that the bottom half was male because of the shape of the pelvis, then the director asked him about the Vagina, and he got this real confused look on his face. LOL
