Yesterday at Walmart I had one of those incidents that makes you smile, chuckle, and shake your head.
Wife and I went to WalMart to return an item and buy some items. She gives me the item to return and I go to the Service desk. Since I know dress almost every weekend, I was in full JoAnn mode. I walk up to the Service desk with my item. At first no one is there then I hear a voice from the back that says, 'Mam, I'll be right with you". So I wait and after a minute or two, this young lady comes out from the back room. I hand her my iterm to return. She asks if I have the rectiet. I tell her No. She rings it up and then asks for my ID. As I reach in my purse to get my DL, a smile comes over my face. My thoughts are ranging from this could be fun or horrible. So I hand her my DL. She glances at it, then looks at it again, then looks at me with a confused look on her face. Then she looks at my DL again, then at me again. As she is looking at me, all of a sudden it was like a light bulb lit up. Her expression went from confused to enlightment, her eys got big and round as she finially figured it all out. Then looking right at me she says, "OMG, are you a..." I finished her question with, "Yes, I am, is that a problem?" She answered, "OH, No,No,No, No problem at all.....DEAR". Now she is all bubbly, excited, and very talkative. It almost made me start laughing, but I kept my composer and just smiled.
When she had finished with the return, she handed me a gift card. I turned and started to walk away, when I heard her say, "Have a nice day, Dear". I turn back and said, "Thankyou, you too".
When I met up with my wife, I told her what happen. At first my wife was concern, but I told her that retail people don't care, they are trained to treat us like any other shopper. After all they want our money too. LOL
I bet she had a nice story to tell her GF's about the TG she waited on. LOL
