Well, I only color mine when I am going out, dressed. Usually I do keep a coat of Sally Hansen nail protector or nail growth on them and it does keep them shiny and it helps to remind me not to put my hands where "they don't belong" at least with our gloves on when I am working around tools or lumber or plumbing or car engines, or well, I guess you could say "it's a guy thing" that I have to be careful of. Just like being more conscious of your legs and not bruising or banging into things. Bruises and cuts don't even look good in hose!!!!

Careful out there ladies.

I've done it on a few occasions. Pink, Wedding Rose, Red.

I only paint my nails when I'm fully dressed. I love the whole business of doing my nails and makeup and trying to do the best job I can, I want to look like a woman not a guy with painted nails or a guy wearing a skirt. It's all or nothing for me.

I only paint my nails a colour when I am fully dressed, but other than that I always use a clear polish with a nail hardner.

It looks so great, to be able to look at them and see them nice and shiney.

Just Last Dec. I had a stint in the hospital, and one of the Nurses commented:
Your nails are so nice and smooth, i wish mine were like that how do you do them.

Made me feel so good, especially when it was in the middle of the night when she came it to take some blood work from me

Once I put on a light coat of clear and one of the girls at work noticed and asked if I painted my nails. I told her the G/F did a manicure on me and suggested that I wear a light coat of clear. She just said that they looked nice. I was a little self concious the rest of the day. When I went home, I removed the clear coat. Went to work the next day and the same girl noticed and said, you took your nail polish off. I said yes, I just felt a little embarrased about it. She said, you have nice hands and fingers. You should keep the clear on. That felt nice that she noticed.

For the most part I just wear polish when I am out and about enfemme but not all of the time. Depends on how long I will be out and about and what I will be doing. Going to the lumber yard is hard on nail polish. Also problem is I usually do not take the time to let them dry well. Then usually mess them up right away. My wife did my toes one Christmas and that stayed on for about a month.

I've started putting my SO's top/Base coat polish on my nails after she heads off for the night when she has done her nails.
So far she either has not noticed or chooses to ignore.
Haven't had a split or ripped nail in 3 or 4 weeks.

Hi Ladies,
I've gone a couple of weeks with my toes painted. No one really sees my feet except at home. I love getting up in the morning and looking down to see my pretties staring back at me!
I have a nail strengthener that is clear and has a satin finish. It's almost unnoticeable on my hands. I use it quite regularly and no one has commented. I only put color on my fingernails when I'm going out dressed. I would really love to leave them painted for days at a time, but it would be a dead give-away at work.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Kyra

I wear a clear coat on my toes continually but only paint fingernails when home alone and en femme. I do keep my fingernails buffed at all times and they shine like glass and draw many comments.

Ladies, I don't know if this has been posted before, but I have found a product from "ORLY", that is perfect for us. I use it all the time, and on one is the wiser. It is called "NAILS FOR MEN".

If anyone is interested in where it's at, or how the sales lady show me some tricks on using it, just post me.

Orly's product "Nails for Males" has a semi-gloss finish.

OPI's matte Nail Envy is even less noticeable due to the matte finish.

Light pink works well for fingernails, for times when you aren't quite ready to be in-their-face. (I use Sally Hansen Hard As Nails, either regular or Extreme Wear, way better than others I've tried).

There are several good shades of pink nail polish that are inconspicuous, but if someone is really staring at your nails they're going to see it.

Which is, in my book, exactly where I like to be: on the cusp, horns of dilemma, or whatever. Goodness knows if anyone's noticed, but I've never been hassled, and I'm quite pleased with them.

As for toes, you can really let yourself go to town, unless you're baring them. (Shoes hide a multitude of sins!) I've indulged in bright toenail polish for a long time now -- with a week off now and then to let the nails recover. My toes for the past week have been a vivid bright green as a changeoff from my usual scarlet.

In beach-and-sandal weather I'll be keeping my toenails light pink like my fingernails. Subtle but fun.

Love, Robyn Katie

I always keep a light Pink or Netrual color on my nails 24/7. No one notices and it helps in my presentation when I am out dressed.

Colors only when I,m fully dressed, which is rare. I do wear clear on both fingers and toes 24/7. I love seeing them so shiney. I wear open toed slip on sandles w/o socks as I live in Florida and rarely wear anything else and no one has ever said anything. My ready excuse is that I'm diabetic and my nails are brittle so I paint them. I know that's wimpy.
Actually I sometimes wear 2 or 3 ankle bracelets and toe rings and only had a woman comment on the fact that I was wearing 8 toe rings. I do wear alot of plain gold and silver earings, bracelets and finger rings. Maybe folks are too stunned or I've been really lucky.
