Holy Grail
As many of you know, I am out to my wife and we/I go out on weekends as a woman. We/I have gone many places and done many things. It is not uncommon for us/I to go to many of the mainstream places and so far have not had any problems.
Saturday, my wife and I went to one place that I have never gone en fem that many classify as a Holy Grail. THE MALL. We parked on the Macy'side and entered the Mall thru Macy's. As we proceeded to the interia of the Mall we had to pass thru the gambit of the Cosmetic Department. Three times we were address, "Ladies, would you like to try this or that". We declined all three offers. Once into the interia of the Mall, we proceeded to the watch repair store. Both I and my wife had a fem watch that needed new batteries. It would take about 20-25 minutes so we walked around and checked out some of the other stores. At no time did I notice any stares or hushed remarks. I felt very comfy and was not nervious at any time. After about 30 minutes we returned to the watch repair store and paid for the batteries. I then put mine on while my wife put hers in her purse. As we walked toward Macy's, we passed by one of the public restrooms. I told my wife I needed to go and she said she would wait for me. I then went in and did my business. There were a few women in the restroom but none of them paid any attention to me. After returning to my wife, we prceeded to walk back to Macy's and again thru the gambit of the Cosmetic Department. This time we did stop at the Ester Lauder's counter. There the attendent noticed my perfume and correctly guessed the fragurance. I was mildly surpised and told her she was correct. I then opened my purse and retrieved my bottle of the perfume. This is a applicator bottle which has the ball on top that dispenses the prefume. She remarked that I must be a long time user of Ester Lauder since they do not make that bottle anymore and then asked if I would like her to refil the bottle at no charge. I told her yes and she refiled the bottle. She then showed us some other fragurances that she thought we/I may like based on what I was wearing. We sampled the fagurances but declined on buying any of them.
We then proceeded out of Macy's and the Mall. Then it was on to our other errands.
So now I have done the Mall Adventure and it was great.

JoAnn, yes I think for many the Mall is the Holy Grail of CDing. But for me after doing it I find it is easier at the mall with more people. They all seem busy doing their own thing and few seem to even glance at me let alone look at me much. For most the mall seems to be just a place to shop that has many things to avoid, some of them which are moving. Most seemed more focused on their own little group or what is their next stop so they can keep moving and get out of there.
I am glad it went well for you. Have many happy returns.

Hay JoAnn,
Back in New Orleans I found the malls the safest place in the world to go dressed as everybody is to busy ripping and running to take a second look at you. Now I will admit I stay away on the weekends because of the teenagers.
No malls here to talk about but long lines of stores and a long long sidewalk, when I did get out I never had a problem.

JoAnn,
Sounds like you have a wonderful time and free perfume tooboot. I have always liked the mall because of the environment. Ever since I was a kid. I don't know what it is about the mall, but something draws me to them. And since I don't really care what other think, say or do, I don't limit myself to any particular days of the week, or times. Teenage girls are insecure about their sexuality and who they are. I am not. Let them talk away. If they want to engage me in an attempt to embarrass me, it will be them who will end up embarrassed, not I.
I am glad it was such a good time and hope you make it a regular stop, since it seems to make you feel so good. And remember, no one has more of a right to be there than you do.
Love always,
Elizabeth

Damn! free perfume how cool is that!? I have never been offered that, really neat. I would venture a guess that all the cosmetic girls have had training in dealing with "us." SL and I were in a big mall in Richmond and I had read about Sephora's new eye shadow, we went to the counter and I purchased the three shades I wanted and the girl was totally professional. I know she read me, but never said anything that she would not say to any other GG.

The perfume bottle is not that big. It happen to be in a purse I bought at a garage sale. I think it is a sample bottle anyway. It holds mabey 1/2 once at most. It has a ball at the top that rotates and dispenses the Fragrance. So filling it up was not a big thing. I thought it was a nice Jester and so did my wife. The Fragrance is called "Beautiful". At least that's what it said on the bottle. LOL I don't put a lot on anyway, so the 1/2 once bottle goes a long way.
I am sure that I have been read many times while out en fem, but so far no one has made a fuss or treated me any different. Only once did I have to out myself and that was when I had to show ID doing a return. Even then the lady treated me like a woman.
I did kinda watch other people while we were at the Mall and did notice that it is true that most people don't really notice others closely unless that person really stands out. If do a good job in your dress, mannerisms, makeup, and etc. Then I suppect that most people you meet will look right past you without a second glance.
