I'm doin' it already Virginia. Only another stone (14 lbs that is) to go

but I've also got the varicose veins

and hairy legs, still part of the agreement with senior management

. so enjoy your mini's girls, I'll be long skirted this spring.

Believe it or not I read the same thing in a fashion mag back in January, Short short skirts will be in along with higher heels. Watch the GG on TV news weather or what ever, 4" heels are in. Now if only stocking would come back.

I love it. Minis and heels are my natural attire. Hope the trend includes short skirts for suit outfits.

At my age I think mini skirts look ridiculous.
Saying that however I have one picture of me in the gallery wearing skirt so short I didn't feel I was wearing it!
Knee length skirts and longer feel comfortable to me. I guess I will stick to them.

OMG! Does that mean the stock market is going to be going up? That's the general myth I think.
And yes....bring back nylons! Honestly, after 7 hours in heels without hose, IT HURTS! What are the designer's thinkin?
Better start shortening my skirts huh?

Call me conservative, but I find above-the-knee skirts and sundresses to be as short as I can entically display. Any shorter makes me feel like I'm wandering around in underwear, and if I want to do that, I just wear a swimsuit.

My (SO) loves short skirts but I'm to bottom heavy to look decent. I never went with the fashion of the moment anyway.

If you have the legs then short skirts are great. The shorter the better.

I feel naked in above-the-knee skirts and even in knee-length ones. I prefer calf-length or full length though I do go in for knee length ones and even shorter now and then. I like the sensuous brushing of a calf-length or full length skirt against my legs.

I am all for the short skirt. One of the reasons i am a tights girl. I leave longer skirts and stockings to my wife.

Hello all: I prefer a few inches above the knee, knee length, and a few inches below. No micro-minis here.
I don't do floor length or ankle length either... tripped in a coat that long once. Never wore it again!
Even my cheerleader skirts are just a few inches above the knee, and they look just fine.
I'd say it all comes down to a matter of personal taste-- what looks good and is (at least reasonably) comfortable.
No need to be a "dedicated follower of fashion" (thank you, Ray Davies) unless the particular styles really work.
Peace'n'Luv-- Kendra Lynn ("hippie cheerleader").
