'Watch' this space

Post by Kay »

I've lost one of my watches, it is somewhere in this house, I put it down and now I've lorst it! Trouble is if I don't find it before we get the next family visit and someone else finds it first, heads will roll. If I get 'outed' by a time-piece.....

If "family" includes your wife, well, then there may be trouble. But if she's OK with your dressing, then I wouldn't worry so much. No one will associate a woman's watch with your male self--they'll just think it's one of your wife's. Watches are not as incriminating as items of women's clothing would be.

But keep searching!

Okay, okay... I 'fess up, Kay. I snuck it into the laundry hamper in the bedroom. Just do your laundry and you'll find it!

Seriously, good luck in finding it.

Hope you have found it by now. I lost one of mine twice, found on the floor UNDER the bed, both times, once near the pillow where it had come unlatched and slipped through the bed frame and mattress, and once near the foot of the bed near the dresser where I keep the jewelry boxen. (more than one box, then obviously the plural is boxen, no?).

Good luck.

i had the same sort of panic attack when i lost one of my press-on nails. i could never explain that could i? lol, never did hear otherwise but i had to pump fluids i was sweating it out so badly......the wife would have raised an eyebrow but only because the kids don't know.

along the way these many years there have been other "gotcha" moments i've spent time and energy dreading ~ none of which came to pass of course!
