Oops. Had my physical and forgot about my toes

A couple of weeks ago, I had a pedicure (en femme) and got my toenails painted. Today, I had my annual physical, and it didn't occur to me that my doctor would be checking out my foot reflexes with my sock off. He saw the toenails, smiled and said "having a little fun?" I just smiled back and nodded. Kind of a non-event, but also kind of embarassing at the same time. Oh well, no harm done.

I think it is called "doctor patient privilege."

I guess I would have been a bit more brazen with a " well I have the EBola virus, it settled in my toenails and this paint is suppose to prevent others from getting it, is it working?"

Of course you have no idea that he had on a Teddi, garter belt and hose under his clothes. Well, that is what Dr. Marcie Bowers used to wear to work before he became a she and now does marvelous transformations for "us."

Ha ha! Virginia, you tickle me!

Yes, Grace, that's one of those mini-anxieties I keep having ... I'll forget and, in a state of total oblivion, show up at the doc's with my toes painted my favorite fire engine scarlet.

I know it's a non-issue, but chicken me, I find I still spend time in advance remembering, over and over again, to use the ol' nail polish remover. Just rather not have it come up ... even if the doc is wearing lingerie.

(Well, my doc *does* wear lingerie ... she's a she. Or ... maybe she's an F-to-M CDer and ... ??? Not even going there.)

I had to go see my doc about a year ago for a painful skin inflamation on my legs. I had an idea what caused it and so had to explain to my doctor.

Yes Doc. You see, I get my legs (whole body actually) waxed once a month, so I got my self waxed last week, came home and bathed to get rid of the wax residue and then with my honey, went for a hot oil treatment. (Bet the masseuse had an interesting chat about the guy with the really smooth legs). Anyway, a few days later my skin start getting red blotches and hurts like H---.

Turns out I have and infection and need an anti-biotic cream to fix. His comments after were, Tell me again why you wax your legs. Of course I do it because, neither In or my partner like hairy men.

We are both completely "bald" except for the hair on my chin and that on her head.

I still waiting for when I forget and have to explain the painted toenails or the lacy thong.

A few years ago, while undergoing my company physical, the Dr asked why I shaved/waxed all my body hair. I just told him it was for hygiene purposes as that I noticed I had less body oder after sweating/perspiring all day.
I have another physical coming up this week and will have to remove my bright firecracker red toenail polish. I don't really trust this company or its Dr even tho they have a GLBT employee work group and HR tells me they are accepting and supportive of alternate lifestyles.
The reactions and responses I have seen within the facility I work in to LGBT issues is not conducive to what corporate is projecting.

On one of my checkup visits to the doctor, he suddenly decided to check my prostate. I totally forgot what I was wearing as he causally pulled down my lace-trimmed pink panties. Never batted an eylash or said a word. Neither did I.

Hugs,

Lydia

Johanna,

I do wear scarlet (or metalflake pink, green, or whatever) nails to the gym. But nobody sees them.

When I work out I use light well ventilated finger gloves meant for some sport or other. Anyway they cover the fingertips ... So, make a routine of wearing those, and the Gym Exposure Dread syndrome goes away!

Oh, but ... showers? Right. Well, several years ago I gave up showering at the gym. I now dress at home and return home to shower. That way other indiscretions, like panties, bra, etc. don't get exposed either.

Of course my pink socks proudly showing over my sneaker tops ...!

I never told my old doc anything. Eventually I changed docs because his practice was so over-whelmed that I wasn't getting the service I once had. My new doc is part of the medical group in which I work.

I wanted to get things going right away with him, because he didn't know me at all. While I did not mention the GID, we did discuss my psych issues around abuse, sibling suicide, etc,...

During my next physical, I knew I'd have the annual turn and cough, and bend over and bear-down exam. So, before hand,...I warned him that I was wearing panties. That began a little discussion about my gender dysphoria, which dovetailed with my psych history.

He was absolutely cool with it. He told me that he honestly doesn't know much about it,...but that he was going to do a little research when he got home. The exam went great, and he told me that I may come to his office dressed in any manner I prefer.

I make it a point now, when completing any medical hx for a new doc,...to mention everything,...including that I do not like being a male and that I like to dress in part or completely as a female. I consider it normal,....and believe that they are my docs and work for me,...regardless of who I am. I believe that they also need to understand every aspect of me in order to treat me with the best possible medical care.

So,...good for you. You've taken a small step in letting your doc know. I'm willing to bet that if you go next time with your finger and toe nails done,...he'll get the message that this wasn't a one time goof,...but a real passion for you. You can then be more open and relaxed with your doc,....and truly be yourself.

Last bit,...you'd be surprised as to how many guys do this secretly or have fantasized about it for one reason or another. In my job at the hospital, most people know about me,...but occasionally, I have to reveal to a new person. It is much easier with women. Guys feel more threatened usually. However, so many guys tell me that they have had their own moments of cross dressing,...or that they enjoy wearing female intended clothes as well. When they tell me this, I can see the relief on their faces that they could finally let the secret out to someone else, and that they no longer felt alone,...or perverted. It's community therapy!

On a trip to my dermatologist for my annual body check he noticed my shaved legs, cocked an eyebrow and said "be careful". Wonder what he meant? More recent checks at a different doctor while wearing toe rings, ankle bracelet and clear nail polish on fingers and toes didn't even get the raised eyebrow. :P
I had stage 2 malignant melanoma so I get frequent check ups.

Perhaps he was simply letting you know that he's nicked his own legs shaving and wanted to make sure you were paying attention when you did yours. ;-)

I don't have any male underwear. My (female) doctors only comment on seeing the beautiful pair of cami-knickers I was wearing was to say they were lovely and where did I get them? I e-mailed her the address, and she duly replied saying she had bought some.

Years ago, I was employed as a draughtsman. I had my own office, and was left alone most of the day.

Much of my work was made faster by writing LISP routines, so I had lots of down time.

One day, I busied myself, putting barrettes in my hair and goofing off. Later, I went up to the main office forgetting about the barrettes. My boss saw me, and asked what was on my head. I expected to feel a bug or something. I nearly peed my pants when my hand brushed over the barrettes.

I nervously chuckled and said they were my nieces,...and I er,....was just trying to see what his reaction was,....
