Surprised

Post by DonnaT »

I put on my best bra and pads for the first time in over a year, one day this weekend.

My breasts looked HUGE!

Must be because of the 60+ pounds I've lost so far ;)

GG's pay big bucks for that look! Congrats on getting back your girlish figure. I've put some back on this winter and need working on getting it off.

I guess a lot of it can be contributed to shoveling all that "global warming" huh?

Proud of you, Donna, stay after it. We will get you in that bikini this summer for sure!

I wish that had helped. I swim 3000 meters every morning and can lose, temporarily, 2 lbs during that time of a little over an hour. Shoveled snow for 6 hours and didn't lose an ounce. :?

Trying to get below 200 before my daughter's wedding in April, on a Mexican beach. 24 to go. #-o

Is it a good or a bad thing that they are the size they are? 60 lbs is a good weight loss. Be proud. How much do you think this had to do with the thyroid cancer stuff?

Wow, 60 lbs is awesome. I could stand to lose some myself, 60 would be a triumph. Nicely done!

Donna

All I can say is Wow! If I lost 60lbs you could see thru me and I would have to be careful crossing a cattle grid.

Well done dear. I know it took a lot of will power

Best wishes
Susan

Not sure. Just not used to the appearance I reckon.

I think not having a thyroid has made it a lot harder to lose the weight.

The Dr. had my TSH at a level that was ok for his diagnosis, so had me skip the meds on Sundays. I wasn't thrilled with that, since I wasn't having much luck losing the weight. So I took the meds, which helped some, I think.
TSH levels are still in the normal range.

Donna

What was your TSH? Mine is usually good at about 0.7 although normal is from 0.5 to 2.5 in current thought. But everyone has their own normal. Cutting back my meds just a little bit (half a pill once a week) pushes me straight from 0.7 to 5.5 at which point a lot of bad things start to happen

Sounds like a new wardrobe will be in order. You can get a new set of forms and see what you feel best in (old size or slightly smaller) and then pick clothes for the appropriate size and bust. Unlike a GG, our body fat doesn't proportionally disappear - our forms are happy to stay the same no matter how much we eat.
