Boob/form size and a low-cut dress

Hey ladies,

So I have a question. One of the dresses my wife has (that I fit into) is this great summery-type dress from White Black House Market (or is that White House Black Market??) Anyways, it's this halter-top type dress with a low-V in the front. (I'm not a fan of halter tops but it looks really nice under a cardigan.)

I've got this black lace trimmed "plunge" bra from Lane Bryant, that looks really great under the dress with just a liiiiitle bit of the lacy edge showing past the "V" of the dress.

Problem is, I think my forms are a little too big, because you can see them too - which IMO is just no good. If I take the forms out altogether, I get the "look" that I like (with the edge of the bra peeking through with no form visible) but with no boob then the rest doesn't really look right.

I ordered another set of forms, one size smaller from the ones I currently have, and they seem to hide better under the bra (you'd have to look hard to see the edge of the forms as the lace covers all but a teeeeeeny tiny bit, where the lace scallops back in towards the center of the cups.) I'm debating whether or not to keep these ones, or exchange them for an even smaller size (haven't opened them from the bags yet.)

Is it worth going through the hassle of the exchange? Will a too-small form for the bra start to make my figure or shape look wrong? Or is a look like the one I'm going for just, well, "not advisable" for a CD'er since I don't have the correct "natural" hardware?

For reference these are the Pals forms (TRS-04's are the ones I have, and the 2nd, new set I have here are TRS-03's, debating going to TRS-02's instead) all in a 40C bra.

As it stands now, I think I prefer the smaller ones over the larger ones, and if I could have my way, I'd turn in the TRS-04's for TRS-02's and keep the TRS-03's. But as I've already owned the 4's for quite a while, I'm stuck with 'em.

Thanks :)

I'd experiment first.

Forms can be made using old hose and bird seed, or poly-fil (fiberfill), among other methods.

Then there's the question of whether you are just doing this for that particular dress or would you want smaller forms on a more frequent use basis.

Especially if you're thinking of nixing the size 4's.

If you are doing it just for that dress, then use a homemade pair of forms and keep the 3's if you like the size for other outfits.

Laura,

Have you checked out "The Breast Form Store." I have Pals also but the BFS has some very good forms that can be attached using a special double stick surgical tape that they sell and it works great so that you can go "bra-less." It sure does expand your wardrobe! =D>

Two things:
1: Different bras fit different tops and dresses. It is not a one size fits all.

2: Most forms work best with full coverage bras from my experience. If the forms are attachable you can try attaching them with glue or tape setting them out just a bit and than the bra should pull them in some showing your cleavage instead of the forms. You will have to play with it some.

Good luck.

THanks :)

I wound up keeping the 3's. They fit the bra a LOT better. The wife had me do just what you suggested - tuck them in the bra, then pull my own breast tissue up and in to create some cleavage. Seems to work 2-fold: I get cleavage, plus then my own tissue works to keep the forms tucked further into the bra.

This stuff is so much fun when you figure out things like this. Just a tiny little bit of natural cleavage peeking out from behind a top looks so neat!!
