Out at the Salon

Today I went to have my hair cut at a salon, where I'd gone before. My stylist is a woman that also works at one of my jobs. She'd seen me go from 4-inch hair to quarter-inch hair overnight. One day she told me I was getting shaggy and to come see her for a haircut. I did, and decided to continue with her.
Anyway, today I told her that the last time I was in I really didn't tell her how I would like my hair cut; I had chickened out. I then told her that I was a crossdresser and would like to get a cut which when styled one way would look masculine and when styled another would look feminine. I then proceeded to show her some of my femme photos. She said she wouldn't have recognized me had she seen me en femme.
She said she was touched that I would confide in her. She had a few questions about my crossdressing, but seemed very supportive and accepting. We then discussed my hair and how we might get the look I was desiring. Since my hair is fairly short now, she just thinned the sides a little in preparation for gaining some length again. We shared some pictures and ideas of what might work. At the end she used some gel, and just roughed up my hair a little. Later this evening, while looking in the mirror, I noticed that with just the little touch she did today that my hair looked slightly feminine. I can hardly wait to see what the final look will be.
I was a little nervous before spilling the beans, but after I confided with her, things just went fine. She was easy to talk with and took the disclosure in stride. She's willing to help me get the masculine/feminine cut that I was wanting. I'll let you know how it turns out, although it might be a few months down the road.
Love,
Alana
