I apologize if I'm posting on the wrong thread but I can't seem to find anyone in Hawaii that likes to cd....*sigh*

I was quite surprised when I did some research on Hawaii before one of our trips and could find little or nothing in the way of CD/TG resources, it's true. I'm sure your spiritual brothers and sisters are out there but they're not exactly vocal about it. I'd love to know why that is.
I was on the Big Island in February of this year, just a few weeks after I started living full-time as a woman. I shopped, golfed, went out for lunches and dinners, visited a spa, snorkeled, and sunned myself by the pool - everything I've done on prior trips but with a whole new wardrobe. I didn't run into any problems while I was there but I do my best to be friendly and polite and that seems to help no matter where I go.
What island are you on? If that's not too specific a question?

I met another CDer on Oʻahu. Lived up on the hill above Honolulu
I know of at least one other on another forum.
Maybe you could run into a few at the drag show at Fusion Waikiki.
There's an annual pageant "The Universal Show Queen" that brings out a lot of t-girls. There's usually a party at Hula's Bar in August to celebrate.

I did the infamous goggle. The only site I found as a possible source to get you to others is a university service. See http://manoa.hawaii.edu/lgbt/ I am guessing you can ask them what they know of the other groups.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Re: Oahu
I haven't been on Oahu in a very long time, not since before I was buying clothing for myself! We usually wind up on Lanai or the Big Island but I have found the tourist-friendly areas to be inherently open to diversity. I'm sure it can be a different story when you're somewhere that is only frequented by locals.Kat wrote:I live on Oahu
