Stranger and stranger

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Stranger and stranger

Post by Wendae »

:? As I have posted before my wife has not been a fan of my Cding even after 45 years. What is strange is now that she has seen me as I attend my therapy sessions (I dress at home) and I talk more openly about make up she has become more easy to talk to. She has been giving me cosmetics and talking about eye makeup, etc. Tips on washing clothes in the washer and how to hang them. More strange is now after years of not using makeup on her part she has suddenly developed an interest and talks to me about it and is trying new ideas. She's now just over 6 years in remission from lymphoma.

This is all great for me and I wonder where it will all lead.

Sounds like she is resigned to the fact of your dressing, and decided to go with the flow.

But figuring out where it will lead is something you'll still need to discuss with her. Baby steps will still be beneficial, IMHO.

Funny how therapy can bring about changes in us that can lead to changes in other people. I'm glad that things seem to be improving.

Today was another day at home to be Wendae. Wife wasn't feeling well and was coming home early. I said"Do I have to change"! She said I didn't. I'm still dressed and she came 2 hours ago and made no comment. Could of complimented me on how I looked.

I'm sure you looked lovely, however it sounds as though even this tacit acceptance is progress. If she finds your dressing part of your normal life together, then that has got to be a good thing

Now Wendy, you're acting like a girl, wanting to be complimented on your looks.  This might not be the feminine side our SO's are happiest to see us get in touch with.

Wife went thru her clothes and was throwing out some nice pull overs. Again she said it was ok for me to take them. I had 2 blouses that I didn't care for and she accepted one. It's great to be able to connect a little. Tomorrow I go to see my therapist as Wendae. I've been planning what to wear since my last visit. It's a hard decision and I mentally go thru my wardrobe and select my attire and makeup over and over as the day nears. I don't want to go out looking like a tramp.
As you may recall my dog Dolly(and best friend) died on Christmas Eve 2009. I recently added a Australian Shepard pup as my new buddy. Photos later.
Saw my cardiologist and it looks like a Aortic heart valve replacement is approaching this year.I am stressed at the thought!

Honestly, this old girl would stress less over the surgery than trying to understand how the better half had decided it's ok for me to dress openly or having to decide what to wear to my therapist :)

Hopefully your better half is truly ok. Hopefully you after all the deciding on your wardrobe, you remember to wear panties if that skirt does wind up too short :) And finally, your surgeon and all the folks that will take care of you for your surgery won't care how pretty your panties are because you won't get to keep them on for the surgery anyway.

Back to the better half. She may have given you free range, but still pace how much you dress, etc with her. It's good you check with her, but every now and then I suspect she might want a breather.

Our Aussie pup is now 7 months old.

Valve replacement has gotten better since they can usually go through the vein or artery and not have to open the chest up. Good luck with that.

I'm glad your wife is continuing to feel more comfortable about this.

When you go see the shrink as Wendae, dress as Wendae. Who is she?

Good luck with the heart surgery. Needing surgery sucks. Sometimes I think God should have thought this whole aging thing through a little bit better back when He was creating the universe.

Hi Wendae,

I had a valve replaced 5 years aho, and it is still ticking away happily. Mine came from a pig, so I am no longer kosher - just in case anyone wants to eat me.

Heart surgeons are miracle men.

Hugs,

Lydia

I am so sorry that you are experiencing heart problems! I hope that it turns out well for you and I am sure it will!

Try to be positive, even though it may be difficult. Doctors really can do miraculous things these days!

Wendae, I know how wonderful it can be to have acceptance from ones wife. I am happy for you that your wife is more open. Sometimes we can be more harsh on ourselves than anyone else and it is easy to percieve things that are not there in reality.

Hugs,

Andrea
